It?s almost dangerous this place is so close to me. Their Cuban is hands down the best sandwich I?ve had in my life. It?s... perfection. One night I literally dreamed of eating it and it was torture to wait for them to open just so I can order it again.I?d post of picture of that beautiful juicy sandwich, but it?s already in my stomach by the time I remember to take apicture.. When I die and my life flashes before my eyes, the first time eating this sandwich is going to be one of thosememories that comes back to me that I treasure. Thank you. Read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant but when I got there, I saw they had these very racist stickers making fun of a... certain population of people and it made me so uncomfortable that I left. I didn't really want to give money to a business whothinks that's a joke. The food looked good but that kind of ambience makes my skin crawl. Maybe they don't want business fromnon-white customers. That's how it felt seeing that. Not very welcoming and not the friendly vibe that the Treasure Valley isabout. That just perpetuates negative stereotypes about Idaho to put that in a restaurant. A+, 5 stars, 10/10! Thoroughly impressed with The Black Cow Cafe. I finally stopped in to grab 2 sandwiches to go and was... surprised to see there wasn?t a big line. Ordered a club and cowboy Cuban. WHOA! Incredible flavor in each bite, deliciousbakery bread, and fresh ingredients. On top of all that, the portions were so huge even my pup got to try some of theamazingness because I couldn?t finish my sandwich. All this time right around the corner from my house, I can?t wait to go backsoon and try something different! Been to many sandwich joints all over the country, coast to coast, and this is a top 5 for me.Thank you Black Cow Cafe! Read more

I was so excited to try a small town, local restaurant and we were very disappointed. I got a sandwich, and I will say the... portions are huge! It is very filling and for the price, it was very reasonable. My bread was on the burned side. But, thefilling was overwhelming. The ham was plentiful, but it had almost no flavor and quite a bit of fat. My husband got a flatbread, again generous portions, but his dough was raw. The inside is HOT. They have fans, but their AC unit is just not enough tocombat 100 degree heat. The staff was friendly, but with everywhere, they are short staffed. As a result, the kitchen was prettydirty with dishes and counter space. I will Say the have lots of potential! The staff was working hard and they had a goodlooking menu. Just a little refinement. Great shop, great food, good people. The Black cow has become a steadfast staple in the area. With so many "fast lunch" "quick... bite" gimmick food establishments, that really are not great. The Black cow takes the standard of good food, hard work, andgreat customer service up a notch. The atmosphere is great, in door or out door dine in, or easy to go options. You can callahead. Locally owned and operated by gals that grew up here, and take the area seriously for how great it is. Stop in forbreakfast, or lunch, grab a chocolate chip bacon cookie. Be polite, be humble, be happy. Stop in to the Black Cow Cafe and Merc. Read more
