I feel really bad, because I\'ve never had an experience before that has ever made us decide to not return to a restaurant but... today my family and I were quite disappointed. We looked online at the menu posted, but it was not the menu that\'s actuallygiven. We were told breakfast was over and we had to order from the lunch menu. 4 of us had the burger and 1 had the cuban. Theburger were all cooked to different temps though they don\'t ask how you\'d like them cooked. We ordered the mashed potatoes(which was quite salty), macaroni salad (stong mustard and onion flavors), Cole slaw (which was okay), Mac and cheese (wasokay), cheese grits (my daughter-in-law said was okay). Our desserts were strawberry shortcake and bread pudding. Idk why (Iguess because we were disappointed over the food, most was left behind) I was shocked at my total. I asked to see the order tomake sure it was ours and it was. It was over $80. I paid, left a tip (it\'s not the waitresses fault the food wasn\'t good),and found a restaurant we won\'t be returning to. The staff was great, and the restaurant was cute, but you\'ve got to have goodfood if you\'re a restaurant. Read more

I was really excited to visit Double A\'s while touring properties as I am planning a move from Michigan to Florida (maybe the... Frostproof area).\n\nWhen entering through the deli area, and trophy room, I got even more excited seeing all the trophies forbrisket, chicken, pork, etc. including Grand Champion trophies.\n\nI was greeted and seated promptly. The service was impressiveand the highlight of my visit. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms (which are located outside of therestaurant).\n\nAfter reviewing the menu, and only seeing pulled pork available I started to get sad...and there was no mac ncheese which is a bbq joint staple for me (Frostbite has mac n cheese and I sampled it at lunch the day before) but I couldlive with sweet potato fries as an alternative.\n\nI opted for the pulled pork on the kaiser roll not knowing what to expect fora portion size on the pork or sweet potato fries.\n\nWhen the basket arrived at the table I was impressed with the amount ofpork and fries but had to laugh a little on the inside because the red and white checkered wax paper was upside down (not thatit matters but it\'s still funny to me).\n\nI lifted the top of the Kaiser roll off the sandwich and my eyes opened wide. Nopink smoke ring or even a hint of smoke aroma. The pork appeared to have the distinct appearance of coming from an electricroasting pan not a smoker (as was the texture and flavor) and I found it to be under seasoned (didn\'t completely stand on it\'sown).\n\nI found the sweet bbq a little too vinegar tangy for my liking but was still good and the mustard sauce was better thanI expected for mustard sauce.\n\nThe sweet potato fries were crispy and hot but weren\'t salted or served with a dip (like ahoney mustard or marshmallow cream), drizzle (like caramel) or a dusting of powdered sugar.\n\nBut, the most disappointing partof my visit was that a gentleman that I can only assume was one of the A\'s came out of the back and talked with Read more
