Reviews for The Great Outdoors Sub Shop - Frisco in Frisco, TX
Now ridiculously overpriced. Can get a better quality sandwich, with more meat (value) at a better price at Jimmy Johns or... Jersey Mikes. I WILL NEVER eat at a GO sandwich shop again. Read more
Great subs. Reminds me of a place I used to go to Larry?s Giant Subs. Will be back.
My favorite sandwich shop in the area. It's a little further to drive to but they make the sandwich the way you ask them to. It... is fresh and tasty Read more
#1 on rye was outstanding with the works and spicy mustard. #8 on wheat has been the go-to for her choice as long as we've been... going to GO(about 15 years). Keep up the good work guys! Read more
GF was saying how much she loved this place years ago. She was let down too. Just not that special. Not better than... Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's or a half dozen other sandwich shops. And don't even get me started on Pepsi. I hate Pepsi andtheir related products, and generally avoid places that serve it. Sorry, not sorry. Read more
First time ever to go to The Great Outdoors and we visited this Frisco, TX location. Very nice service, but a couple of young... guys behind the sandwich bar need a little bit of help and customer service guidance, however the sandwich was great. I got acroissant sandwich club which needs a bit more meat apparently you can order double meat and I should have. The bathroomshowever, have an odd decor as there is a menu in there I'm not sure if that's politically incorrect or inappropriate or weird orotherwise but nice to know that there's a menu in the restroom. LOL. I also love the fact that they have IBC cream soda buttheir chip bags are only 1 oz but not too shabby. The tables are unique in that they have these cool cutouts as individualplacemats if you will. Check out the pics. Read more
Your adventure to Great Outdoors starts from the moment you walk up. There is an overgrown tree that covers the front of the... store. Inside the decor resembles a log cabin. On to the food: 1. Fresh bread 2. Sliced to order cheeses and meats 3. Freshtoppings Customer service is on point to, all of the employees are cheerful. Even during the busiest lunch rush these folkswork the line quickly. My only gripes (minor) 1. Fountain Drinks - the drinks are ?behind? the counter. Hard to get to thecashier in between orders to get a refill 2. Chips - the bags of chips are smaller than other other sandwich places. Read more
UPDATE Oct 2022: Good to be back for soup and sandwich. We got one sandwich and split it and one of their soups. Good meal all... around. Didn't take long to get it made as we beat the Sat lunch rush. Lots of take-out orders noticed. We will have to try theones in Richardson next summer when we go to one of the summer band concerts put on by Richardson Community Band. And the newplace in McKinney.UPDATE Mar 2022. In the mood for soup and sandwich today. Great service and better food. Lots of dining incustomers and many take-outs while we were there. I posted new photos of customers eating in. Surprised it had been 13 monthssince we ate here last just after the awful Feb 2021 ice storm and sat at home for a week. Will try to get back sooner thanlater. UPDATE Feb 2021. Yes, they are open again after the terrible Feb ice storm. Our lunch visit was the first day open afterbeing closed for a week. Still a bit chilly to eat outside on patio so we opted for indoor. Still practicing virus mitigation soits a safe place to eat. Most customers go for the take out. 1st visit May 2020 OooRah! Yes they are open during virus crisesnow with indoor seating; a bit limited now. Nice shade tree on patio so one can eat out there. Great 1st impression for thislocation and chain. Never eaten here before. Shields up btw you and counter and rail keeps one's distance when making order. Seephoto Read more
