Chicken was pretty good. The cashier seemed preoccupied & couldn't get my order right. I asked for half chicken., creamed... spinach & sweet potato. Said it 3x. For someone from Minnesota and visiting Texas this was a treat. Great restaurant. Great branding. Great atmosphere and... aesthetic. Real fun vibe. Clean. Great and friendly customer service. Had the lunch special, 1/4 chicken, dark meat, with mac ncheese, peach cobbler, and a large sweet tea. I don't think you can get more Texas or southern than that. The food wasdelectable! I used to love coming here because of their wonderful side dishes but for some strange reason they've gotten rid of the "Mexican... Corn" and the "Creamed Spinach" and replaced them with COLD corn and beans. What were they thinking? However the "Texas Dusted"chicken legs were unbelievably delicious but without their signature sides it's probably not enough to keep me coming back. Read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by Cowboy Chicken. My friend and went on a whim after another restaurant was temporarily closed... down and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a half chicken which came with two sides. I had the Mac ncheese and the cucumber and tomato side salad, with a roll. My friend got friend okra for one of his sides. The chicken wasgreat! For spinning around on a roast all day I thought it might be dry but it had fantastic flavor, super great buttery, crispychicken skin that fell right off the meat and tender chicken. Was a super large portion for me and didn't expect it to be thatbig so I had leftovers. Really enjoyed the tart cucumber salad. Mac n cheese was decent but nothing special. Wish they would haddone something creative since the chicken was standout! The fried okra were also decent but did not have much flavor orseasoning in the batter. Love Cowboy Chicken. Nothing like a Mesquite Rotisserie Chicken Meal. Food tasted good but the overall sides and even the... chicken seemed a little cool. Still finished my plate along with my wife's brisket! Yes she got Brisket but glad she did it hada nice taste however make sure you get some BBQ sauce. I will keep going back to this location.
