Disappointed. I order from here often. I havent been in a few weeks and imagine my surprise today. Portions have gotten... extremely stingy. I just left from there and definitely won't be returning. See side order of plantain that cost $5. Spoke withowner and she's saying it's normal portion. I told her no it's not but she insisted. Nah that's stingyness. Plantain looked dryand unripe even. Nonsense! Read more

I really wanted to love this place. I ordered the kids portion of the jollof rice and beef. Which is my favorite African dish.... However, when I got home I realized I was given chicken, which btw was extremely dry.. So I make the drive back up and it’s8:30pm. The lady at the front was speaking with another woman about some other lady who works there. I explain the situation andshe says she’ll get me what I ordered. She then goes right back talking to the other lady for a few minutes… Then somecustomer’s come in, she tells them, the kitchen closed at 8:30, mind you it’s 8:35 at this point… why not update yourhours to reflect the time your kitchen closes? The jollof rice tasted burnt. I’ve had this rice elsewhere and it tastesnothing like this. The beef was extremely tough. Ended up throwing the food out. Disappointing experience altogether. I decided to try this place because I was craving some home cooking and this was the closest african restaurant to me. The... customer service was good and the food was delicious! I ordered the ogbono soup with beef and pounded yam. It had the perfectbalance of spice and seasoning. P.S the beef dish has assorted meats in it, some fish, tripe and the beef. So so good. I willdefinitely be back! I could barely stop myself mid-meal to take the picture Read more

The FLAVOR!!!! Smoky, spicy and so so delicious. We ordered the jollof rice with tilapia and the fried rice with chicken. The... rice seemed to be the same on each dish, but I don’t know. It was so well seasoned with great texture. Both the chicken andfish were bone in and seemed grilled and/or fried, topped with a tomato based sauce that complemented the meat perfectly. Can’t wait to come back and try something new, too! This is hands down the best West African restaurant in the whole Dfw. Clean Professional Courtesy and best of all the best... tasting I've had. The Egusii was my order and when I got there I took one look and tasted and ordered a second for my children,I knew better not too go home without some for them. You get your moneys worth. The best well money I've spent in a restauranttakeout. The host owners and cooks are fantastic! If you have one thing too do is go too the place. A very satisfiedcustomer! Went for a second time ans was highly dissappointed. How can the portions change in two days. Spent almost 50 buckson two orders of Egusi with yam and plaintain. The plaintain was not good. The Egusi this time was served in small round bowlshalf of what I received two days before the Egusi was also less. I called when I got home and spoke to the owner. He was niceabout it and I gave him as I gave him my complaint also constructed criticism. You cant run a business like that when the pricesare in regards to the portion sizes. He offered to take care of me when Im in the area but I will pass on goingback. disappoined Read more

Great food and service! The dishes may not seem like much, but once you try them, they were big enough for three of us. We got... Jollof Rice with an additional side of goat, ogbono soup with pounded yam, and an appetizer of pepper grilled gizzard (forgotto take a picture of it). The spices were amazing and sensational. I highly recommend this place. Read more
