Ordered here through grubhub ($50) & was very disappointed. The images advertised looks very good so I was excited at the start... but the ramen is very bland. I had to put in a lot of seasoning for the broth to taste better. The sushi was ok tbh. Personally,I didn?t like the food as much. Read more

The service here is great. Friendly and prompt. The food, however, isn't very good and quite bland. Had a bowl of tonkatsu and... a shrimp tempura roll. Maybe I didn't get the right items? Maybe their sushi is better? Read more

My wife and I are recently visited this restaurant as we were on our business trip. I saw that this restaurant had some good... reviews. As we like sushi and ramen, and have been to some great sushi and ramen shops, as well as some bad ones. We thought wewould give Toshiko a shot. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the server and was told to sit where we liked. After we seated, the server came over and asked if we wanted any drinks and appetizers. My wife politely asked "we haven'tgotten the menu yet?" That's when the server said that the menu is online and pointed at a QR code. However, she could provideus with physical copies. Personally, I dislike online menu systems when it requires the customers to use their own devices. Addit to the fact that sushi and ramen shops are usually family owned and provide more customer orientated experiences, it wasshocked at this disconnection. It was a hot day at 108° in Fresno and we came in sweating, so we decided to start off withglasses of ice water and a plate of sushi. Ramen was ordered for the main course. While we were waiting and cooling off with thewater, both the wife and I started realizing how ridiculously warm and humid the dining area was. I began sweating again afterfinishing my water. I would say the A/C was probably programmed to turn on after it reached 80° and wasn't setup to take intoaccount humidity. That to me is poor management as there was no reason to have an A/C programmed so high when the dining roomarea and kitchen are sharing the same space without any fans to circulate the air. When we got the sushi, we were impressed atthe presentation. Though we were disappointed at how little Mayonaizu and eel sauce was used. Usually, sushi restaurants willhave the sauces drizzled on the sushi and on the plate so the customer can add more to the sushi if they want. Here, it was onlylightly drizzled on the sushi and nothing on the plate. With that being said though, the sushi was good Read more

Dragon roll and tiger roll were awsome! Seafood ramen was excellent too! I love the cozy atmosphere here compared to other large... sushi restaurants where it's packed with so many people waiting to get seated. We'll be back!!! Read more

I paid $60 for ramen and sushi. The sushi was alright but the ramen was trash. It had no flavor besides burnt chicken. Once the... burnt pieces started coming off of the chicken the whole bowl tasted burnt ???? Read more

They have a Christmas parade every year that goes along the street right in front of the restaurant. We happen to be there... December 11th when this parade is going. It was a happy surprise to be able to eat and watch the parade through their frontwindow. As far as the location goes, walking in is very calm and relaxed atmosphere. We were comfortable to take our child withus, even though it was a bar. We ordered drinks and some appetizers first. Then after about an hour we finally flagged down ourwaitress to order the rest of our food. She said that they're still waiting on the appetizers and walked away without gettingthe rest of our order. After another 20 minutes we flagged her down again and said we wanted to order actual food. She sighedand begrudgingly took down our order. When our food did come it was absolutely scrumptious. Highly recommend the calamari withjalapeno! The Roman was pretty average... but everyone loves ramen, so no complaint here. Honestly, if it weren't for theterrible customer service, I would have rated this a little bit higher. Read more
