The food was good, but I was ordering to go and the server gave me a 4 oz cup for which they have no lids for my water. I... explained that I was taking it to go and ask what other options for water I had. The server explained that that is the onlywater cup. I said it will spill in my car with no cup and it's only 4 oz. The server said you can buy a drink and get water. Isaid okay I would like to have a drink to get water. I was charged $3 for a cup to put tap water in. The food was good but don'torder the water. Read more

The staff were friendly and the food was pretty quick. The place was clean and the atmosphere upbeat. The food was hot and... tasty, though the teriyaki chicken did have some cartilage in it. Portions were decent, but not great. The fire chicken did takea little longer, but they warned us that would be the case. My friend said it was good. Read more

3.5/5 1. Customer service could be better. I noticed that the workers would look at each other to see who's turn it was to work... on the register/help me and they seemed bothered by it. 2. I expected the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken to be more sweet or flavorful.Instead it had a few pieces that had a burnt charcoal/smokey taste to it. The bbq sauce on the side helped with thetaste. Overall, I think I would try it again but in a different location. Read more

I've met and have lived with islanders and they serve you plates a mother would be proud of. The food is good. They care more... about giving you half spoons of food than actually making you want to come back. I understand its a business. However, the foodbusiness has to live up to the culture it represents in my humbled opinion. Food with Love always brings people together. Greatplace but the culture is getting lost in the portions. Side note (Im 5,4, 155 pounds and 2 bites in the beef was gone.) Read more

I got an excellent service and my food was hot and delicious. I had the bbq mix. I think the cabbage was unnecessary though. ... Anyways, I'll be back to try other plates. Read more

First time here at this establishment the decor is very well executed customer service is absolutely terrible. The cashier... seemed very irritable don?t know if she was having a bad day we tried to order quickly and this was our first time eating here.So we ordered our food and waited . Other people came in and ordered and they received their food rather quickly. Ours seemedlike it was sitting out because when we got our food it was really cold . Not really worth a trip to come here. Verydisappointed in the food lack of flavor lots of cartilage in the beef. The fried shrimp batter was not cooked thoroughly. Thespam masubi I seemed a little discolored to me so I did not eat it. Wasn?t really cleaned either. Overall this experience leftus disappointed it lacked and was basic. Save your money. *UPDATE* I had food poisoning all night Eat at your own risk Read more

I'll have to give it another go based on the reviews. When I hear Hawaiian chicken it immediately made me think of sweet chicken... with a side of macaroni salad. Put your mind more into chicken teriyaki bowls with a side of just okay macaroni salad. I'm notmacaroni salad person but I do like the store bought Reser's so comparing the 2 I would say Ono's is a warm one with not a lotof flavor. My co workers swear by it however. To cut to the chase I ordered the fire island chicken plate. Spicy chicken with aice cream scoop side of rice and macaroni salad. Now I'll share the overall experience... I walked into the place and the girlwas standing at the register. I stood there waiting to be greeted so instead just focused on the menu. There is a LOT on themenu so would be nice if they did try to greet their guests guests explain their concept. Another woman walked in and stoodthere for 2 minutes with not even a high so she left. I get it. The menu is very busy so I immediately went to the spicy andordered. They have an open cooking floor so you see the cooks/chefs busy at work which is nice. The other girl poured sauces(had no clue). Then when they call your name you pick up your food. She then asked "You want sauce?" I replied (lookingperplexed) "ugh sure." Still not understanding I asked for teriyaki and soy sauce and was out the door. When it was time to eatmy food I went straight to the macaroni salad. It was just okay to me. Bland and warm but not nasty. I then started in on thechicken that looked spicy with a side of rice. The chicken was just meh..I ate a few pieces and scooped a fork of rice and stilljust meh. As I ate most of the food it finally clicked....how about you try putting some teriyaki sauce on it to give it somejuice. Wallah that was the magic add. The chicken and rice came to life. I realized the sauce is designed to pour over thechicken and rice for flavor. Then the chicken was good. Really good then. Problem was that I had eaten more Read more
