This was a restaurant that my parents would take our family to back in the 70's. They have since closed the restaurant in the... city that I live in. We were traveling and remembered that they had a restaurant in Fresno and decided to stop for lunch. Thecheese enchiladas still tasted the same as they did years ago. A group of us went to Ole Frijole on Blackstone in Fresno on August 30, 2022. We were extremely disappointed with the quality... of food on the buffet line along with the desserts. The food was tasteless- everything had a bland taste. There was verylittle business during dinner time. Only six tables of customers.......... The lettuce was very warm and the salad dressingwere thinned out and tasteless. The enchiladas were flavorless and had nothing but cheese inside of them. The fried chickenwas tasteless also and seemed artificial. The tacos were under the heat lamp for such a long time that they wereflavorless. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AS IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND HAD FOOD THAT I WOULDN'T EVEN FEED TO MY DOG! Theonly positive comment is that the bus lady was very efficient and picked up our dirty plates consistently and promptly! Thebuffet line employee was very apparent and consistently replenished the food even though the food was absolutely horrible. OleFrijole deserves a ONE STAR due to all the reasons above! Yes I know it's a Mexican restaurant but I love the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Desert ice cream over a piece of cake.
I remember eating here as a child.. the fried chicken and cheese enchiladas were always so good and as an adult they were still... just as good.. it was very busy because it was Father's Day... everything was clean.. the food was hot..my family plans on goingback.. Read more

Me and my family frequent this establishment. We've been both for lunch and dinner, prices include drinks, chips and salsa, and... salad bar. Friendly staff and environment, clean and well kept. Small selection but good flavors. Read more
I've been a Ol Frijole customer for 55 yrs n I can definitely say there has been a big change in the quality of the food.... Chicken is still decent and Salad bar is ok. Read more
