Feels like a real Mexican restaurant. Everything was good.. not great but still good:) All the employees were really nice.... Actually liked all the food except salad bar pastas that are not Mexican style. I do recommend trying this place...get full fora decent amount of money!:) $15 Read more
This was a restaurant that my parents would take our family to back in the 70's. They have since closed the restaurant in the... city that I live in. We were traveling and remembered that they had a restaurant in Fresno and decided to stop for lunch. Thecheese enchiladas still tasted the same as they did years ago. A group of us went to Ole Frijole on Blackstone in Fresno on August 30, 2022. We were extremely disappointed with the quality... of food on the buffet line along with the desserts. The food was tasteless- everything had a bland taste. There was verylittle business during dinner time. Only six tables of customers.......... The lettuce was very warm and the salad dressingwere thinned out and tasteless. The enchiladas were flavorless and had nothing but cheese inside of them. The fried chickenwas tasteless also and seemed artificial. The tacos were under the heat lamp for such a long time that they wereflavorless. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AS IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND HAD FOOD THAT I WOULDN'T EVEN FEED TO MY DOG! Theonly positive comment is that the bus lady was very efficient and picked up our dirty plates consistently and promptly! Thebuffet line employee was very apparent and consistently replenished the food even though the food was absolutely horrible. OleFrijole deserves a ONE STAR due to all the reasons above! I have been in the restaurant business for nearly 50 years and wouldnot recommend this restaurant to anyone! Read more
Yes I know it's a Mexican restaurant but I love the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Desert ice cream over a piece of cake.
