I was here to celebrate my friend's birthday. We reached here around 6:30 pm which was a good decision as later it just got too... crowded. I was coming here for the first time, so parking was a bit of a struggle as front street parking was not available andthis restaurant has 5-6 car parking spaces behind the restaurant so that was full. Hence had to park behind the banquet hallnearby. It's interesting when you walk from there to the restaurant there's a tiny shop where a guy is sitting on a tandoorbaking the afghani bread and there's no seating area. You will have to walk a little further to actually get into therestaurant. The entrance is something that will take you to Afghanistan. I loved the set up and interiors because it's alldecorated with authentic art, the doors, everything gave me a great vibe. We first ordered the appetizer Kado Borani which isroasted squash topped with garlic yogurt, dry mint and served with afghan bread, and Yogurt drink with cucumber and mint. Ireally enjoyed it and the perfect start that makes you hungry for more food. We ordered main course Bodinjon Borani which isroasted eggplant topped with garlic yogurt, dry mint and served with afghan bread, and Teka Kabob which is Beef skewers oftender tri-tip marinated in our special sauce, charbroiled to perfection. This was sufficient for the three of us. The servicewas okay, we had to remind the server that we ordered but someone who came after us already got their order served. The serverbrought our order and we had asked for brown rice and somehow he started arguing that we said white rice hence he brought it. Wedidn't want to continue with him and we said nevermind. Later he brought a separate plate with brown rice. We started feelingthat this guy must not like us. We were not served water until the time when we were paying our bill we asked for it. The foodis great, and there are other people who are courteous and helpful so I will give another chance and visit here with my Read more

Delicious Afghan food, everything was fresh off the grill. The best item was the kabob trio - beef, chicken, and spicy ground... sirloin. The exterior and interior are both very nicely done too. Our server was friendly and polite. Would visit againanother time. Read more

Small menu. Well balanced. Every dish is made with fresh ingredients. Sticking to roots of afghan cuisine. This is not Peshawar... style cuisine but more Kabul style, so authentic afghan Chapli kebab not pak-afghan Chapli. I am a regular at this restaurantjust for their Chapli kebab. I order the triple kebab combo and tell them only pit Chapli. There Chapli is the reason I amrating this restaurant 5. The price are cheap compared to many other restaurants. A lot of good seating for family get together. It is a very good family restaurant. I highly recommend the kabuli pulao also. My top 3, recommended dishes are 1. Chapli kebab2. Kabuli pulao 3. Beef Tikka kebab. Read more

My friend invited me to have a dinner in this restaurant and was a pleasant surprise. Although the building needs a bit of... maintenance the food was delicious and I found a good value for money. Read more

I won?t be going back. I got there when there were only 2 table were seated and already got their food. The lady told me I need... to wait for 20 mins. After 50 mins of waiting for my to-go order(1 Aush & 1 lamb kabob & 1 yogurt), the lady, who I took orderwith, couldn?t give me a reasonable explanation about why all the other customers came later were served with their food but Iwas still waiting. ? I?m just delivering the food, not working in the kitchen.? That?s her respond literally. No apologies, only?like it or not, time to pay and leave? attitude. Oh, I almost forgot I was there for food. Nothing special for $29. One starfor the great sunshine I got while I was waiting outside today. (After reviewing others comments, and found out this restauranthave something like ?dine-in first? policy. So ridiculous.) Read more

Friendly staff and good halal food. Sheer Yakh desert was very unique and similar to the halo halo Filipino desert. Chapli was... nice and flavor. Kado bolani was kind of on the heavy side and not mashed as I was expecting. Quantity was very large so pointsfor that. Also props for having homemade yogurt drink dough. Read more
