Sofia (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) was an absolute rock star! As a person in the industry I always appreciate great... service and we had a great time! Water was good so frequently I was floating away; we asked for the Mac and Cheese "kidtemperature" and they provided just as request! Queso burger was cooked to perfection and my wife and daughter said the chickenon the sandwich was juicy and delicious. I could easily come back daily for those Truffle fries. I ate at Ambrose by myself on a Friday night - was greeted by warm hospitality and a delicious smelling kitchen. Sat at the bar,... had a cold beer in my hand swiftly. Sophie was my server for the night - she was fantastic. Recommended the truffle fries withmy Reuben...solid recommendation. I left happy with my belly full and a slice of Cheesecake I ate later that night. Enjoyedmyself so much I took a coworker back the following week. I don?t miss the micro aggressions of the Bay Area. This place was a case study in that. But the food was okay. The steak frites... were tasty. The Mac and cheese was dry but the bacon inside was delicious. The bone marrow had no bone marrow inside. Read more
Good especially for the price point and vibes, but wouldn?t crave to come back. Our server was kind and somewhat attentive. They... don?t take reservations so we came around 530 on a Friday and waited 30 minutes. The place is quite small. We got the steak andfries $36 which was a bit dry. We asked for medium and it was a bit more done than we would have liked. However the crispy frieswere well made! Really good restaurant. Best steak I've had in years. Top 5 of all time best steaks. I had the steak with the peppercorn sauce... and truffle fries. So good. I highly recommend this place. A treat of a place in a gem of a town. Jackson served our every whim and the flavorful things they brought out were to die for.... We only needed one entree adjustment and the response was efficient and unquestioning. The beer list is really great and thefreshness of the ingredients you can taste in the depth of the flavors. Service and attention to needs were top tier. The Pork,Bavette, mushroom soup, brussel sprouts and most importantly mousse cake tart were all delicious and left nothing wanting.
