Reviews for Taj Indian Cuisine in Fredericksburg, VA
Came here on a black Friday night for dinner and was absolutely blown away! There are very few Indian places across USA I... recommend and this made the list in a very well deserved manner. Visited with family. We were a party of four and ordered a lotof food expecting to finish it all but the portion sizes were huge! The food is absolutely lip smacking, the staff is extremelycordial and friendly. Our server Mahad was very nice. What I really liked is that menu has such unique options that you don'tfind in most other Indian restaurants Appetizers Tomato soup - tasted a bit like Tikka gravy so not my favorite but my brotherloved it - 3/5 Goat cheese Tikka Chaat - 5/5 Achari paneer Tikka - 4.5/5 Entrée Punjabi kali dal - 5/5 (would rate higher ifit was possible. It had heightened flavors and so true to the actual kaali dal) Pindey chole - 4.5/5 Lachha paratha -5/5 Tandoori roti - 5/5 Tomato cheese paratha - 5/5 Burrani raita - 5/5 Dessert Beetroot halwa - 4/5 Read more
Each time we dine at Taj we are so pleased. The service is great and the food is beyond delicious!! It really is an experience... everyone should have even if you have not ventured into Indian Cuisine. Tiki Masala is one of our favorites but also their LambRogan Josh and Keema Mushroom. Just tried this place for the first time today and it was delicious! The woman who was at the counter when I came in to pick up... was super nice. I ordered the mild butter chicken and the vegetable masala samosa. Both were delicious! The samosas came with 2different sauces, i’m not too sure what they are but i enjoyed both. I’ll definitely order from here again next time i’mcraving Indian food. Read more

This was my first visit to Virginia. I entered the state around 1ish and was already starving from 5hrs driving. Looked up... "Indian restaurants near me" and this was at top. Restaurant has an old school Indian cooking and ambiance to it. Very friendlyservers and staff. For appetizer- I had samosa, pakoda and Alloo tikkoi which arrived quickly and was delicious. Had GarlicNaan, Palak paneer, Punjabi dall and my Mom's favorite, Alloo gobhi for lunch. Rasmali, Gulab Janum and a cake for dessert…superb! Large portions too so, lots of leftovers to take home. Parking is no problem, liked how they have outside sitting. Shoutout to the chefs- Shashank, Kuldeep Singh, and Charanjeet Singh. Highly recommend. Read more
We visited Taj Indian cuisine on a Tuesday night. We were sat immediately. We ordered several dishes to share along with naan... and rice. The food was delicious. We were looking for an Indian restaurant that we have never been to, but was truly authentic. This one hit the spot. Some of the cons was that they were a little expensive, the restaurant needed a little bit more lighting, and it was a little cold and temperature in the restaurant. The waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. All in all, I dorecommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for Indian. Read more
