First time at the Parthenon and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel like you?re eating in... their home. Wish we would have come sooner but we?ll be back. The souvlaki chicken platter was great. Properly Greek marinatedchicken can?t be beat and they do it right. The Parmesan meatballs were tasty and the sauce wasn?t overpowering. Still here after all these years. Still run by Manny and Sophia. My wife and I had our first date here 29 years ago. The food is... still fresh and delicious. I forgot to take pictures of the food because, well, I was too excited that it was still owned andrun by the same people. That is a testament to the food here. Made with love. Sophia said to us she can?t believe they have beendoing this so long. Again, when work does not feel like work, you add your pride and your passion then end result will bepositive. The decoration has barely changed since the 80s and 90s. Some may be turned off. Don?t be. You will be rewarded. Wecame at early lunch hour and there was a good turnout while we were there. The Meatball Parmigiana I got was made fresh, hot anddelicious. My wife had souvlaki and the pork was tender and delicious. We decided to get 2 gyros to go because everything was aswe remembered. While we moved to this area nearly three years ago, we just recently came across this place and I am sure glad we did. What a... wonderful hidden gem that?s been going strong for 40 years! 40 years and still going strong, this Mom and Pop operation chugs along with various familiar menu that tastes delicious.... Today's 12" pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and lunch special of cheese ravioli in tomato sauce and baked cheese (withdelicious garlic bread and Greek salad) more than pleased our palate. Tonight we walked from our hotel and enjoyed our first meal at Parthenon Restaurant. The owners were directly involved in... running this popular restaurant and personally interacted with customers. My chicken souvlaki was delicious, and I shared partof my partner?s pizza. That also was very flavorful and the Greek olives made a big difference! This is the perfect mom and pop restaurant, not a corporate chain with plastic food. Come to this restaurant to enjoy real... Greek food. The Greek salad was excellent, the gyros fairly standard, but good. This restaurant deserves community supportfor their good food, great hospitality and moderate prices. Another time, we ate in an Old Town, fancy, expensive restaurant, but this restaurant was so much better in every respect. By all means, put this restaurant on your must visit list. Read more
