As you pull into a low lit parking lot behind a strip mall your hoping to find a hidden gem. Our journey started as we walked... in. Nothing fancy of the waiting area. The smell of food was a bit over barring and I understand it?s hibachi so there will be;however, it doesn?t seem like the exhaust was pumping on low along with the AC. We get seated within 20 mins so the wait wasn?tterrible. The tables were sticky and a little hesitant to know if it was thoroughly cleaned or a wet rag to get the food andyum yum sauce cleaned. Our orders are take but felt rushed when giving our dinner orders. For a Japanese restaurant it doesn?tdo sushi so kind of a bummer. Our chief wasn?t anything extraordinary just a plan Juan making Japanese food. Jokes were alsonot his forte so I guess we can throw the entertainment out the window. Food wise - it was okay nothing to brag about. Thedrinks were fine and didn?t feel like alcohol was added. This was our first time and definitely last. Read more

I went with my family a few days ago. The food was very mid so don't go in expecting gourmet food. The chef was also Mexican and... spoke Spanish which is weird for a Japanese restaurant. The guy was also very messy and spilled a lot of the food. I orderedmedium steak and it was the driest steak I've tasted in a while. The waitress was nice though. But overall the chef and hisattitude were major turnoff. I definitely won't be returning because I would rather go to a genuine hibachi restaurant. Ifyou're really really really really really really desperate for a hibachi experience then yeah come to this restaurant. But youwon't get a Japanese chef or gourmet food just letting you know. We went to Otani Japanese Steakhouse for a birthday party, the chef was awesome and the show was fun as he involved the entire... family. The standard volcano was turned into a Birthday candle and we all sang happy birthday. It was very entertaining. One ofour party has shellfish allergies and the chef took extra care to keep everything well separated. Will definitely return. Read more

Very considerate staff. The food was very good. And the wait was pleasant. They were conscious of gluten issues. I recommend... bringing g gluten free soy if your dealing with that issue. Chefs are awesome. Good location!!! Read more

My husband and I had a great experience here. We got the filet and scallops and they were perfectly cooked (medium and medium... rare). The scallops were creamy and not tough at all. The fried rice was really good, chef was personable and entertaining, waiter was attentive, I have no complaints. We'll definitely be back. Read more

Where do I begin? Omg. This deserves 10 stars. We finished off my sons 13th birthday celebration here. The miso soup and the... salad was the freshest one I've ever had. From anywhere! I nearly lost my mind and my son ordered 2 of them. We had the kendomeal for 2 with the lobster, Tokyo shrimp and filot mignon. Cooked to damn perfection!!! Excuse my language but this was anexplosion of taste and flavor. Our chef was great. And the food exquisite. I only found this place bc of a persistent Googlesearch. I'm in love. If you see this review.... GO EAT THERE NOW!! Read more

The best in town. I went somewhere else and they put so much soy sauce, I couldn?t eat my meal. It was too salty. I asked Chef... Abraham what is it that the food at Otani doesn?t taste salty. He said ?it?s out teriyaki sauce, we don?t use much soy, we useour own home made teriyaki? I totally recommend this place. If you come, ask for Chef Abraham. He is great! Read more

I took my daughter here for her 25th birthday. I called ahead to reserve a table for 7 people just in case it was busy. The... restaurant was easy to find and had ample parking. When entering the restaurant, there is a sign stating masks required whilewaiting to be seated. Not everyone had masks in our party but the staff did not say anything since we were seated right away. There were about 4 other parties there so the restaurant was not crowded. Because the food is cooked right in front of you, itcan get a little warm at the table. The staff provides fans in addition to the air conditioning so it was quite comfortable. The menu selection includes a good variety. I chose the shrimp, steak, and chicken with fried rice. While the chef is settingup, we were served drinks, soups and salad. The salad is very basic (lettuce and dressing) but tasty. The soup was good aswell. Not too filling so I thought I would have plenty of room for the rice and main entree. The chef was very friendly andput on a great show. He asked if we were there for a special occasion and we let him know it was out daughter's 25th birthday. He had us all sing happy Birthday and gave special attention to our daughter which was a really nice touch on top of the greatshow and fabulous meal. Some of our party elected for noodles and the rest had fried rice. The chef cooked it right in frontof us, giving a great show at the same time. I tried the noodles from my wife's plate and they tasted great. The fried rice wasfantastic and the serving size was huge. Next came the shrimp and steak which both tasted fantastic. We each had a separatebowl of teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce for dipping. The yum yum paired great with the shrimp and the teriyaki sesame saucewas great with the steak. Next came the chicken and it was cooked perfectly. All of the meat was chopped and cooked justright. I dont usually leave a restaurant with leftovers from my own plate but there was so much food, I c Read more
