New to the area and picked up dinner for my family on my way home from work. I ordered online via doordash, I only had three... items I ordered and said it would take an hour. I questioned this and went in earlier. Restaurant had only one family of twoin the restaurant. It took over an hour for the food to be ready. I ordered Jallof rice as sides and they didn't have any andwould take additional time to make so I had to change the sides for my order. The Rasta Pasta didn't have any kick to it, justa cream sauce, the shrimp were nice. The jerk chicken was good, however overly spiced and hard to eat because of the spicelevel and we do like spice. I do understand a lot of restaurants are struggling with finding those who want to work. I hopethey can find some help to help lighten the load there so they can focus on quality and consistency. Bottom line up front - great food, but be prepared to wait a bit for food after order I Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. My... wife got goat stew and I got the jerk chicken; both off the lunch menu. Food was outstanding! Flavor for the jerk chicken andgoat was authentic and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were good for a midday meal. Not many people in therestaurant so I was surprised the food took almost 45 minutes to come out. So I just got back from Montegobay and all I could say is, it was the best food of my entire life. I've been to a few other... Jamaican restaurants in the past, but they all seem to pale in comparison. The staff is super friendly, the prices are fair, andthe ambiance makes you feel at home. This restaurant has a lot of growing to do and I wish them the best if luck because after speaking with management and staff... they do have the potential to be great. Problems: 1. Untrained server/lack of communication 2. Long wait for food especially ifwe got there before our reservation at 6:30 and after several complaints the kids finally got their meals at 7:48 (and it was anempty restaurant) NO EXCUSE and sadly he didnt listen to order saying only ketchup and mustard or only ketchup (nothing else onthe burgers) the kids didnt eat after all 3. While waiting on the adult food it took the staff 45 mins after we ordered to tell3 us they were out of that product (wow) I declined immediately because it was NO EXCUSE to wait that long to tell usthat. Coming from a management background myself ....instead of getting mad I educated...I tried to give them knowledge thatthis is not how you grow your business and I gave them lots of examples.
