Great service by Jessica and great food as always. The staff always make us feel so comfortable. The bacon is so thick and the... coffee is imported and strong(in a good way). Read more

Went for brunch today; didn?t know if we were going to Foode or Mercantile. I asked when we got there & found out they used to... be separate businesses that shared the building; now they just split the day; Mercantile isn?t the morning, Foode in theevening. Brunch was great, my wife had the omelette of the day/week and I had the biscuits & gravy since the waitress informedus that it is only available on the brunch menu. Everything was fantastic; the staff was energetic & friendly. Very verysatisfied with the experience, quality, quantity, & price. Read more

Had a great experience at Foode/Mercantile (pretty sure the rebrand is Foode). Service was great, food and drinks were... excellent. Had a mimosa and Round the Way Girl (iced espresso mixed drink) which were both well made. Wife and I had the steaktacos which were amazing. Might have been the best breakfast taco I've ever had with the homemade salsa. Shells were fresh andthe steak was really juicy. 10/10. Read more

The quality of the food and service continues to decline with each visit. I don't believe we'll be visiting again after the last... visit. The bacon was so burned it looked like bark from a tree. When I asked for new bacon the waitresses asked if I didn't likeit well done. Ordered scrammed eggs, got fried eggs chopped up. Really! Read more

This was the best choice for breakfast/brunch. It's an old historic bank converted and tastefully decorated. I had an apple... juice mimosa that was unexpectedly yummy. It was served in a large juice glass which I appreciated. I had the sausage biscuitsand gravy and it was luscious, flavorful and the biscuits were so flaky. The gravy thick and tasted of sausage and sage. Thehomefries we're crispy and touched with peppers. I ordered a side of bacon that was cooked to perfection.....crispy, thick andstill bendable without breaking. Others had the chicken and waffles and said it was divine and savory. We also ordered thescone on special with the apricot jam and butter. Yes, please. Flaky yet dense scone with a vanilla cookie flavor. The serverwas amazing and attentive. The only constructive feedback I have is the hostess was a little rude. Read more

This farm to table has potential, but it didn't come together for me. Ingredients were fresh and menu/wine list very... interesting/different. However, the dishes didn't come together - the salad had too much salt and the grits I expected tostandout and be more flavorful. Pimento bread was great. Also, service was mediocre. Everything took longer than what I am usedto at good restaurants. After I finished my first glass of wine, no one asked me - do you want more? The lady was walkingaround, but missed an opportunity to sell me more and I would have said yes! It is also pricier for what we got. Hope they canimprove a few things and I will be back. Read more

The good was good quality. My turkey sandwich was fresh roasted turkey and the chips were great! I did regret not getting the... burger because it looked so good. My dad had it and said it was delicious. My mom really liked the pretzel bun on her hamsandwich. My only complaint would be that there are not many menu choices and I think more than half were vegetarian and/orsalads. Overall we liked the rustic atmosphere. The food was good. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Read more

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had. I don't live in Fredericksburg and happened to stop there last year. The cinnamon... roll/sticky bun I've ever had. I stopped again the other day on my way home to New Jersey and the first time wasn't a fluke. Thebest breakfast I've ever had. Read more
