Reviews for Maggies in Fredericksburg, VA
The sub was tasty but the Italian Dressing (ID) they add onto the subs really threw off the flavor and didn\'t taste that well... together, I feel like adding the choice of oil & vinegar also would\'ve been better but that\'s just my opinion. I also orderedthe Baked Potato Soup & Broccoli/Cheddar soup and both were okay but had a bland flavor to them which I had to add salt & pepperto consume the rest. I really love subs and hoagies so I will give them another try but overall for a first impression I have togive 3 out of 5 stars. Read more
Excellent sandwich shop! Lots of perfectly sliced meats on great bread. Homemade root beer and cream soda are delicious. They... carry rap snacks, great chip choice and also have homemade ice cream sandwiches. Highly recommend going here if you are in themood for a good deli sandwich. Read more
Awesome! I was dreaming about a italian-style sub for lunch and Maggie\'s 51st NY fit the bill perfectly! The price was right... for a sandwich practically the size of my head, and the service was low-key and exactly what I was looking for! I\'ll definitelybe back. Good to have a solid sandwich shop in old town again. Read more
I really enjoyed this place! I came here with my friend for a light lunch, and we both really liked it! It was both of our first... times there (we ordered the 11 and 7) the service was great, and the food met our standards! Great ratio of bread to filling! Itwas also very affordable, which was awesome. 10/10 recommend this place! Read more
I was craving a sandwich for lunch and a parking space in front of Maggie\'s magically appeared. Coincidence? I think not.\n\nIt... was a dreary day, so a soup and sandwich meal just felt right. I ordered the Bromo and clam chowder to go. I barely had time tosnap a few photos inside before my order was ready.\n\nI headed home with my order and was floored when I opened my sandwich.Holy cow, that\'s a ton of London broil on that Kaiser roll! The tiger sauce combined with the BBQ sauce gave it just the rightkick. This was a cold sandwich and it was divine. The London broil was so tender it practically melted. There were zero \"fatstrings\"....you know what I mean...that stringy tissue you have to embarrassingly pull out of your teeth in front of yourcrush. Nope...none of that. This was high quality sliced meat.\n\nThe clam chowder? Yup, you guessed it, that was good too.Creamy and flavorful. It\'s a good thing I took my order to go, because I required a nap shortly thereafter and I don\'t thinkthe restaurant would have wanted me sleeping there.\n\nMy experience was a few weeks ago and I have now seen they offer hotsandwiches panini style. They also have an outdoor patio out back which is gorgeous.\n\nCheck them out! For those of you thathave been around town for awhile, this location was formally Frasier Wood Elements and it\'s unrecognizable. They\'ve reallytransformed this space. Read more
I would consider myself an expert on sandwiches as I worked at the famous Bill Cahill?s Supper Subs for a few years.\n\nOverall... the quality of the meat, vegetables and bread is excellent.\n\nThe shortfalls is that they don?t offer pickles or hots for theirsandwiches! I also asked for salt, pepper and oregano which didn?t appear.\n\nI only say this because if you are going to offera high quality sub you have to offer pickles and hots!!!! ????\n\nOther factors: Super clean restaurant, great selection ofchips and drinks and friendly staff.\n\nPlease, please, please start offered pickle slices or cubes and hots so this can be mynew favorite sub place in the Mid-Atlantic region!!! The sandwiches are great. They are not as expensive as many of the speciality food places in the area. What makes it special. ... The style of sandwiches and the meat is really good. No I side seating so plan accordingly, maybe end your shopping withsandwiches to go. If the weather is nice to eat outside but their seating full there are other alternate outside eating placesin the area.\nThe outside of the store doesn\'t shout this is a sandwich shop but look for it it\'s worth it Read more
