Walked past Fredericksburg Cupcake heading downtown and didn\'t even know it existed ???? I\'m so glad I went inside! I... couldn\'t decide, so I got a 6-pack and a to-go egg-less cookie dough (chocolate chip) - SO GOOD! The service was delightful andthe cupcakes are delicious. The frosting was fluffy and not overpowering. None of the flavors left more to be desired, my familyliked every one of them. We got dark chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, vanilla chocolate, and lemon. Great cupcakes with unique flavor options, including Guinness and Pb&J. I enjoyed the cupcakes, the frosting was incredible. I... recommend the Guinness (most moist of the cupcakes I purchased). Summary: could not get the cake size/flavor combination requested. Junior staff on site not helpful. Did not like all the... flavors when taste tested. Cancelled order. Will not return.\n\nOrdered a birthday cake and cupcakes just from reading thereviews. Was finally able to visit one week a ahead of the party and ordered the two flavors to taste test them for the firsttime. The first cupcake was immensely dry and not very palatable. The second, carrot cake flavor, was soft and delicious. In anattempt to switch the cake flavor to carrot and the cupcake flavor I realized the neither of the current staff was of any help.This was on a Saturday afternoon. I received a call from a decision maker an hour later, only to be told that flavor is notproduced as a whole cake. I asked why the website states that all products are fully customizable only to be told they justdon\'t do that combination. This led to cancelation of the entire order. Although pressed for time and now searching for anotherbakery, happy to not have found out these things while hosting or having the pastries bring down the event. Won\'t bepatronizing again. This place is the definition of \"hole in the wall\"! It\'s a wonderful little space just off the main strip in Downtown... Fredericksburg, VA! It fills a void in the downtown store paradigm as there had once been a cupcake store in the area thatclosed several years ago.\n\nAccording to one of the team members on site, the store has only been open for about two months atthe time of this review. Disappointed by the one vegan option available. Another poster said there were vegan varieties - but we arrived to a flat... chocolate cupcake with a dollop of raspberry. Definitely not a place to go for their vegan options. Read more
