It was nice but right off the bat they make sure to tell you they have no Texas wines? Thought that was weird being your in the... heart of Texas wine county. The place gave me a California feel. A friend of ours recommended this place?and he was right! If you are looking for a classy bar with a speakeasy vibe, Elk Store... is it. They have a great wine selection and a menu of artistic, unique signature cocktails. We visited twice. Both times, myhusband ordered the smoked old fashioned, which is literally placed in a small glass smoking cabinet. So many people order thisdrink that the entire venue smells pleasantly like a campfire. On the first night, I ordered wine, but when we returned, Iwasn?t sure what to get; they have their own gin, whiskey, and rum from the Elk Store distillery, but no vodka. I ordered a?girly drink??a Painkiller?which they (hilariously) put in the pictured parrot glass. In addition to their elevated drinks, ElkStore boasts comfy seating: lots of cozy couches everywhere. This location was brought to my attention by a connesiour of liquors. The bar tender was responsive and delivered the finishing... touches to drinks with a smoky flourish that did an excellent job of infusing the flavor into both the old fashioned and thecocktail!
