Came in on a Saturday evening & had the catfish and chicken. It was all delicious and what a cool little spot on the creek!
We love coming here - we always have had a great meal. The staff and owner are very friendly and service has always been great. ... The food is always well prepared and delicious. Our favorites are the the pork loin, hanger steak, brussel sprouts, pork bellyappetizer, burger.. but you can?t go wrong with any dish on the menu. Their desserts are amazing too. TLDR: delicious I met some girlfriends here for brunch the other day. It was the first time here for everyone, so we asked a... lot of questions which were all handled expertly by our very friendly server. Her recommendations were spot on, from drinksthrough dessert. We split several orders of the brussel sprouts, and wanted more to take home. They were the surprising star ofthe show! My shrimp and grits was delicious, as was everyone else's entree. My family (grandparents, parents, sister l, sister's boyfriend, and I) sought this place out right before going on... vacation. Menu is small ish but things look good. Drinks - We are here for brunch so I get the Blue berry dreams cocktail. Iwas looking forward to it but it's mediocre at best. Highly watered down in every aspect. No care in it's creation. Cream didn'tmix well so the bubbles look waxy. They have coffee but can't make iced coffee or separate it from the cocktails. I watchedthe vanilla chai iced tea being made. It is poured from a big mason jar behind the counter containing a few tea bags and filledwith cold water. My problem is not the concept but rather the fact that it was served immediately after adding water to analmost empty jar and no new tea bags. Again, no care. Food - Three scallops to the appetizer. Didn't try them but mygrandparents seemed to like them. Can't give a fair review here. Korean spicy wings were good. Cooked well, not overwhelming inflavor or spicy which is a good thing; I personally could have used more potency. The little side of ranch wasdelicious. Didn't have crab cake, so opted for fish and chips instead. Not much flavor but the crunch of the crust andtenderness of the fish was beautiful. Parents got the glazed and confused burger, both cooked medium. Ive had a similar dishbefore and didn't like it so I'll try to be especially fair and objective. It wasn't quite medium but it wasnt well done either.Edible and tasty, just not for me. Salmon BLT, didn't try but grandpa liked. To be honest, I thought it was going to come outcold. Pleasantly surprised and relieved to be wrong. French toast. Also light in flavor but very nice and fluffy overall. Thisand the wings are the only things I'd consider ordering again. Ambience is ok, service was good. We tried their cocktail (Tito Vodka with syrup) and in entre we tried their crab cake which... was not that great and pan seared salmon which was amazing as it comes with Brussel sprouts. best part is its lake facing soits good if you wanna see outside and enjoy lighting during christmas. This place is fantastic! Moreover, it's the first place I've dined in many months where the it truly felt like the pandemic is... having no bearing on guest experience. The staff was timely and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and beautifullypresented. The menu is on the small side but it was a relief not to begin a dining experience with a long list of menu itemsthat the restaurant was out of (no shade to the places who have to do this right now, I completely understand!). One of ourparty had a signature cocktail that featured lemon meringue moonshine, which he enjoyed immensely. He was kind enough to allowthe rest of us to sample it and we agreed it was delicious! Another of our party had a Moscow Mule, which was not on thesignature cocktail menu but they obliged this request and she enjoyed it! Truth and Beauty also has an excellent beer and wineselection from which my husband and I chose our beverages: Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout for him and New Zealand Sauvignon Blancfor me! In terms of food, we shared the wings as our appetizer for the table which was a great choice! The sauce that comeswith them is delightful: I wish I could have gotten a vat of it! My husband had the pork loin and LOVED IT--he'd cleaned hisplate a mere matter of moments after it arrived. My mom and I both had burgers which were utter perfection: a runny egg on aburger is just the best thing in the world. My dad, who tends to be the pickiest one of the four of us, had the BlackenedCatfish and could not say enough about how good it was. He's very sensitive to spice and our server was very professional andanswered some questions for him about how spicy various dishes were and this helped him choose something that he really enjoyeda lot. The only item that I might potentially recommend this establishment consider revising, is the font size used in themenus for the menu item descriptors. I came with my husband to Truth and Beauty yesterday for brunch and had an absolutely phenomenal experience there. The staff was... friendly and attentive. It felt cozy and warm. The environment was so welcoming to all walks of life. And the food? to die for!I had the spicy Korean wings, salmon bites, and the cowboy killer. My husband had the chicken pot pie. It was so perfect for achilly afternoon. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We had a couple of their new fall cocktails and werepleasantly surprised. If you like chai tea, try the Early Morning Love!! The chef even came to our table to check on ourexperience and was extremely kind and courteous. We will definitely be coming back.
