This place is legit! I had the Bun Bo Hue noodle soup (Pictured) and my husband had the Dac Biet Pho and we shared the fried... spring roll. The spring roll actually comes with some really nice pickled radish and carrot and the garnish lettuce was freshand beautiful (not wilted and brown). They give a ton of meat and toppings and the noodle portions are so generous. I had enoughto last me two meals. I love the huge piece of pork trotter that comes with the Bun Ho Hue and this was a very fragrant andpeanut-y and rich Bun Bo Hue soup. It was probably the best Bun Bo Hue soup I?ve had. The sprouts, cabbage..etc that they giveyou to garnish are all super fresh with nary a wilted sprig in sight. Read more

TLDR: Excellent Vietnamese food for a reasonable price! Come for the pho and banh mi. Vibe: 4/5. Located in a nondescript strip... mall, Ann Loi is a no frills Vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant only has a half dozen parking spaces available, so parkingmay be tight around peak meal hours. Inside, Ann Loi has a main front of house counter for takeout orders and 10-12 tables fordine in. Each table comes equipped with your normal pho accoutrements which includes plum sauce, Sriracha and chilioil. Service: 5/5. The staff was perfect throughout our meal from start to finish. My party of 2 came around 12:30pm on aSunday and we're seated by the hostess immediately. Our orders were taken not too long after we sat down and the food was outwithin 10 minutes of ordering. When we were finished, the staff gave us several to-go containers for our leftovers and we closedthe bill out with ease. Overall, a very smooth lunch service! Food: 5/5. Exceptional pho that cured 2 very hungover weddingattendees! For lunch, we ordered the steak banh mi, cold cut banh mi, brisket pho, seafood and egg pho w/ rice noodles and aThai iced tea. Both banh mis were very tasty. The French bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside andpaired nicely with both meat options. The pho broths we're soothing and perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. All of theaccompaniments in both bowls were tasty, abundant and played nicely with the broth. And finally the Thai iced tea was arefreshing choice that tied the whole meal together. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Ann Loi and highly recommendfor those Sunday scaries! Read more

The food was great. This was my first time going to a Vietnamese place to eat and I must say the food was incredible. The... service could have been better, but the people were so sweet. I got the curry noodles with chicken. It wasn't too spicy. Theportions are huge and very much worth the price. I will be going back. Read more

We stopped at this restaurant over President's Day weekend on our way to visit Gettysburg National Military Park (which I highly... recommend). We ordered the beef pho noodle soup and a grilled pork banh mi. Overall, it's a decent place. The pho is satisfyingbut lacked the depth of a long-simmered beef broth. It tasted strongly of cloves and is quite sweet, which reminded me of theinstant pho I've made at home using cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, and sugar in beef broth granules. The banh mi withgrilled pork is also decent. The carrots and radish were not as fermented as I like, but the meat is prepared prettywell. Service is nice and more so than the usual Vietnamese restaurant (i.e., they came by to refill the water!) :) Perhaps wedidn't order their specialty, but I think the majority of folks will be pretty satisfied with the humble fare.
