This place is awesome! And I'm. Not just saying that because I'm good friends with the owners. This was my first time here... because I live out of state but it will not be my last. We had our 30th high-school reunion here and I was floored by howbeautiful the place was. The staff is awesome very helpful and attentive, the pineapple pepper wings were excellent! First time trying jerk & jive and i must say it was absolutely amazing i got the jerk chicken with the mac and cheese And for... appetizer the Caribbean nachos and it was absolutely to die for The service was out of this world amazing codos to thewaitresses they were down to earth, honest and just over all amazing if you stop by you will be back just for the hospitalityalone 100% recommend Read more
Tried out the Jerk N Jive on Prospect Blvd. Enjoyed the meals; fried goat cheese appetizer, jerk kabobs and the chicken and... waffles. The kabobs were served in a bowl mixed as opposed to straight on the kebab sticks. Overall food was good but it took along time to come out and it wasn't super busy so im not sure why the delay? Great atmosphere! Live band performance was superb!!! Also loved their menu of Caribbean foods: plantains, spicy greens, red... beans and rice, etc. Ironically, I had chicken fingers and a caesar salad! lol The other items were shared with me byfamily. The Jerk and Jive Bar is a hidden gem in Frederick, MD. The vibes are good with background reggae music playing as you enter the... restaurant. We ordered brown stew red snapper and escovitch red snapper with callaloo and macaroni and cheese. Everything wasdelicious and well prepared. I especially loved the rum punch. Our waitress Anne was a great hostess. She greeted us with asmile and made us feel welcome. The restaurant has a reggae band on Friday nights. We plan to come back! The parking isplentiful and there's convenient seating indoors and outside. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and the entrance islocated right in front. The decor is very nice and overall it's a great atmosphere. Definitely check it out if you are inFrederick, MD! You will not be disappointed. Read more
We’ve been here half a dozen times and each time is a home run. I’ve yet to try something I didn’t like - everything is... AMAZING! I love the beef patties, goat cheese balls, the goat cheese pasta and chicken tenders!! My husband loves the snapperand hummingbird cake! Servers are very polite and accommodating! They have awesome dine in specials too! Clean bathroom. 11/10!No complaints! Read more
