Genuinely one of the worst meals I?ve had in a long time. A steak and cheese was ordered, when opened I realized it had quarter... cuts of tomatoes. Which okay I can pick this off no big deal, then I realized oh there?s also spinach. I soon came to realizethis was not spinach and just lettuce so old the color had gone dark?The fact that the chef literally saw how bad the lettucewas and chose to still put it on the sandwich is not something I?m sure I could ever understand. Especially considering no whereon the menu does it state the steak and cheese comes with lettuce or tomato. I could have kindly asked for this to be withheldif so. There was also an order of cheese fries that I have no words to describe but I?ll do my best. The cheese ( and I?m beinggenerous by calling it cheese) was crusty and had the texture of plastic like it was heated in the microwave for way too longand then sat for the rest of the time. Inedible. Overall it was just like totally a super disappointing experience. Unlesssomething changes I would recommend just avoiding. Based on the other reviews it doesn?t seem like this is an isolatedexperience or that the pizza/other dishes are even good enough to redeem. Read more
Looking for a home cooked delicious Italian meal without going through the trouble of making it yourself? Il Forno?s never... disappoints! Consistent, fresh authentic meals every time. Quality, delicious, quick pizza made in a unique stone oven. Crust is so tasty and homemade. Large variety of pizza, wings, and... appetizers. Best pizza place in Fredrick to please a big group of people for dinner. My family loves this spot! Read more
Hit em on a good day when Josh is behind the bar and you're in luck. Il Forno has decent Pizza, Wings and some of pasta dishes... like Mama's homemade. Forno's is primarily a Pizza Joint restaurant but they do have a bar as well which attracts locals andcouples on occasion to watch sports. Not a martini bar or top shelf brands but in general most drinks are well-made especiallywhen Josh is mixing. And some of the waitresses are bright and attentive as well. Overall decent quick no waiting to sit and eatwell with the family or cheap date. Buffalo wings and Carnivore pizza safe bet. Good luck. Read more
Tried il Forno for the first time tonight and I must say everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be coming here... again. Hard to describe but the texture of the pizza crust/dough was perfect. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with banana peppers,?the works? and subbed out the olives for pineapple, baked wings with Buffalo, bbq, and sweet red chili sauce on the side andcalamari pasta. I'm going to visit again but for now this is my feeling on it. Appetizers were perfect (bread sticks, cheese curds). Ordered 2... pizzas and one of crusts was a little more charred than I would have liked and wasn't much crisp to the bottom. They were verybusy so I'm attributing it to that fact. Flavor was on point for everything, just that minor crust issue for me. . Excited totry it again when they aren't so busy. 1 star off on service because you shouldn't have people seat themselves and then ask themto move to a smaller table " we usually reserve the larger tables for parties of 6". I get it, but I'd rather be seated than beasked to move from where I've chosen to sit. Overall a great experience. I'd would recommend giving them a try. Read more
