Pretty good first time experience. Food was good and the staff were nice. Our server DJ was really cool, friendly and very... respectful. He was also helpful to explain something if we had questions. Never been here but it was a suggestion by someone inour party. Definitely did well to my expectations, so I will be back again in the future. First time here...We had a party of 3 and all of us were absolutely FULFILLED! We all got "option D" which is the unlimited... all-u-can-eat...and I was so surprised that the price was not too bad at all. The service was great. The food was awesome. Good quality seafood in a casual atmosphere. Lots of dining areas inside and outside. Gets a bit warm in the summer, could... probably use an upgrade on the cooling system. But if you're not looking for any frills and just want a really delicious seafooddinner, this is the place for you! Perfectly tender scallops, creamy crab dip, and affordable platter options. A personal petpeeve is when a seafood restaurant fries everything in the same oil, so it was really nice for hush puppies, fries and onionrings to not taste like fried shrimp. Read more
The food is phenomenal. Jumbo lump crab cakes, steak cooked perfectly, and fried shrimp as a side. The staff is wonderful and... patient. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Even though the it was getting very busy, my waitress checked on us and made sure wehad everything we needed. I can't wait to bring my family and friends here. Read more

I don't even know where to start..drove from Virginia Beach with my wife to check out some local attractions and this was one,... the GM was really cool and even jumped in on my video I did for Facebook, we got seated and Danielle waited on us, explaininghow everything worked and keeping our plates and water filled at every opportunity, she was amazing as was every other personthat came by our table, I got the unlimited snow crab option which includes everything and my wife got the 3 crab platter whicheverything was 100 percent perfect! Excellent experience at Avery's. We arrived around 9pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The server was very... pleasant and attentive. We were impressed with the seating options! There is indoor, outdoor, and then they have a screened inarea as well! The food was excellent! We had crab cakes and the fried shrimp. Looking forward to going back again! Found this place by accident and so glad I did. The restaurant itself had very costal or Florida feels to it. The service felt... like I was being served by my friends only better, top notch. I ordered the captain Averys pick 4. For the value, you can't gowrong. I ended up getting a crab soup, ribeye steak, steamed shrimp, snowcrab legs, with asparagus and fried clam straps forsides. I can honestly say everything was amazing. Everything was fresh and came out hot and fast. The portion was very generous.I actually had a little surf and turf to take home and eat for lunch the next day. This is one of the places that I would, andwill in fact, travel for.
