The service was excellent. My wife and I went here for beer and an afternoon snack. They had a good deal on beer: $5 22oz Heavy... seas, and half price burgers. I have to knock off two stars because the burger was not very good. It had a char-grilled smellbut lacked any flavor. I suspect the patty is from frozen or otherwise lacking sufficient seasoning. I would have been superdisappointed if I'd had to pay the full asking price of $17 for this. I will give this place another shot in the future and willincrease my rating if the other food options are better. Read more
Went to this place because we wanted a taste of home. Wife really wanted pizza logs. Whatever we got, weren't pizza logs, at... least not pizza logs I've ever seen in Buffalo. They were huge, but they were definitely flavorful. She enjoyed them more than Idid. Wings were decent, typical anchor bar wings in my opinion. Fries were sub par. Wife said beef on weck was good. The food and service has always been good here for us. We often get the half price pizza on Mondays and wings. Delicious! The... only reason it's 4 out of 5 is because I'm from Buffalo and have been to the original Anchor Bar dozens of times. Nothing beatsthe original lol. Read more
Uodate... Visit 1: Wings are ok. Asked for extra crispy they came out a little soggy. Visit 2: Grilled chicken tenders are... great for a non-fried dish with any of the sauces. French fries were perfect. Cauliflower bites and burgers are very good. Decent beer selection. This month was $5 22oz Dogfish IPAs so that is a great deal. Huge bar area and nice covered outsideseating. Will come back and see if they can sway me to a 5 star rating... Gotta give those out sparingly. Read more
