It's not like a normal restaurant. No table service at all. You walk up to counter #1 and order off the menu posted above. You... go to a separate #2 counter to select your beer or water and then pay at that counter. Next, if you want wine you go outsideand into another room to pick your wine and then pay for it at that #3 counter. Back outside, back into dining room where youpick up your wine at counter #2 in a decanter. If you want desert you go to counter #2 to select your cookies...but remember #3had a better selection. I'd been to Frisco's only twice many years ago but each time had really enjoyed my food. So I was looking forward once again to... getting a great sandwich. After debating the numerous choices on their extensive menu, I decided on the bbq beef sandwich withexploded potatoes so ordered it to go. When I got home, I was disappointed to find out, first of all, that the beef is shreddedvery finely because it is not described as such on the menu - I thought I was getting sliced beef. Secondly, the beef was sovery overdone that even with the barbecue sauce was very dry and left a burnt aftertaste in my mouth. I have to say that servicewas excellent, the food was packed well and still warm, and the exploded potatoes were very good. Excellent lunch option in Frederick. Found Friscos from a Google search as we were passing through Frederick on our way home. ... So glad we decided to stop here to try it out. It's a pretty cool place with very basic facilities but the food was great andthere is a bottle shop connected to the restaurant that you can get your own bottle of wine for service. We the Bar-B-Quewings, the Haight Ashbury, the Baja, and Sante Fe Chicken & Chips. Everything was very tasty and large enough to fill us up. Will definitely stop in again next time we're passing through Frederick to try something else off the menu. Read more

This hidden gem in Frederick is so amazing. The exploding potatoes are sinful. So many unique sandwich choices. I ordered the... wings and they were very meaty and the portion size was enough for 2 people. My husband ordered the trans-am and had enoughleftover for the next day as well. I got the BBQ beef and exploding potatoes. The potatoes were great and the beef was good, but I feel like with a 1/2 lb of beef... and then a savory side having something sharp like any type of pickle or alternate texture would have been nice. Staff wasgreat. Read more
