This was our first time at The Honeysuckle and it did not disappoint. Well, it kind of did because they were out of duck and the... juice machine was down, two of the main things we were looking forward to. ???? But we found plenty of back up options and theywere fantastic. My husband had one each of their types of oysters. The watermelon rind one was his favorite. And he has OscarBenedict. It was amazing and seafoody. I had the hot chicken sandwich. It was so good, and while the chicken breast as a wholewasn't spicy, the breading over the entire chicken didn't have a hotness to it, the sauce the drizzled over it had a verypleasant taste and level of spicy to it. It was delicious. And the duck fat fries were tasty, not much different than regularfries but tasty nonetheless. We will most likely be back to try again. Read more

Upscale eatery with a diverse menu and unique options such as the Breakfast Mac and Cheese. Nice decor, relaxing atmosphere.... Good service. We sat in the bar area, which we enjoyed. Food was great. They have some fresh juices, and I had the GreenLemonade, which was refreshing and delicious. Read more

If I were grading solely on my entree, this place would get 6 stars, but that's not the only way we grade places,... unfortunately. I had the duck, Brussels, and grits, and they were simply amazing. The duck was perfectly moist and tender, thegrits were perfectly cooked with the right amount of Gouda, and the Brussels were perfectly roasted and glazed. Truly afantastic meal. I completely cleaned my plate. If there's anything I would have improved, it would have been to poach the eggless. Most people don't like runny eggs, though, so I get that choice by the chef. My companions who did not get the duck, however, we're disappointed. The steak sandwich was underseasoned and lackluster. It was also apparently not warm. The duck fatfries were good for a few seconds while they were warm, but were just normal after they cooled. They did not hit the table hot,so that was quick. The appetizer of biscuits and jams arrived nearly room temp, so they said they were good but poorlyexecuted. Our server was also disappointing. Our water refills were warm, the wait time between table visits long, and weactually had to go get her at one point. Hopefully this was a one off, but it wasn't a great experience to have with businesspartners on a time crunch. If you do go, get the duck and just focus on that plate. You'll at least leave with the happiest oftaste buds! Read more

Food was good but service was not that great. They messed up our order at first and we waited on water and Diet Coke to get... refilled a couple times. Just overall slow service, which was surprising as we had been here before and not experienced that. Read more

Very nice and cozy place, although a little pricey. I enjoyed shrimp and grits dinner, tiny little bit spicy but overall very... tasty. My hubby ordered maple salmon and it was dry, very oily and a very tiny piece of fish. And our maple salmon dish lookednothing like on the picture here under tab Menu. Read more

Love coming across places “by accident”, needed a spot to kill some time before a dinner party and stopped into The... Honeysuckle. Was greeted by one of the managers and grabbed a seat at the bar where Mary took excellent care of me. Decided on acold draft (they have a number of local brews on tap) and spotted the oyster bar. Not many places offer a variety of oysters andthis place had a good selection so I went with six Pemaquid from my birth State of Maine!!! These oysters have a distinct saltybut very mild flavor…HIGHLY recommend them. Just my preference versus the sauces served, when you have high quality oysterslike this homemade cocktail sauce and very fresh horseradish really enhance the flavors of the oysters. I have to visit thisplace again, the dinner menu looks incredible and Mary gave me an overview of the different items. I do know this is a greatplace to stop for a drink and appetizer, looking forward to enjoying dinner there real soon! Read more

Beautiful restaurant. Friendly staff, but seemed to be understaffed at the time of my visit. They were working hard, though, so... I applaud that. All of the food was plated nicely, but the quality disappointed this southern foodie. We started with thebiscuit board, and I’m 90% sure those were processed frozen biscuits. Not a homemade biscuit like granny would make. So wetried again with the pork belly mac-n-cheese. The pasta was cooked well and coated with ooey gooey cheese - awesome. The porkbelly, however was the worst pork belly I’ve ever had. Next, we tried the hot chicken sandwich. Y’all, I was disappointed. Not only was it not “hot” or crispy, but it was served at room temp and it was very dry. The bread & butter pickles, duckfat fries, and jicama slaw were all very nice, though. The French toast was also a nice dish. Read more
