Superb experience. We got here early on a Saturday morning and just loved the decor and service. We ordered seasonal beignet and... the candied bacon to start, which were killer. We both ordered omelette?s which were the perfect size and cooked right! Joel ourserver was amazing and really felt like we were visiting with family. This place was amazing. I ate there with a friend for late Saturday breakfast. I didn?t need to eat again until evening. Their... trifecta was amazing. The chicken and pork on biscuit with a poached egg were may favorite of the 3 you get. Whereas the shrimpwere good, they were lacking that ?pizazz? flavor they accomplished with the other two. The atmosphere was really good thoughand touch in the loud side. Decor was nice too. Totally a must eat place for breakfast. Not sure about other meals, but prettysure they would be fantastic too! Delicious brunch here. Ordered the peach pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was not my favorite (I like soft biscuits)... but everything else was great. Loved the spiced coffee too! Didn't love that the bathrooms were far away but service was greatand it was a nice meal. Read more
Yummy! We had the Breakfast Sandwich and the Sweet Heat Chicken & French Toast Bites with a hot honey/syrup - was amazing. The... breakfast sandwich was average but the chicken and waffle bites were amazing (the sauce is delish) OH get that candied bacon asan appetizer - totally worth it Patio seating great for dogs, also had water bowls for dogs! Understandably the wait time was a little slow, they were very busy. The coffee was good however the food was quite... dissatisfying. The Eggs Benedict were over cooked and the sauce was chunky and very thick. We also had the biscuit and gravydish and on both orders the biscuits seemed very cold and like it was from the previous day prep that was left over. Thelocation was good, atmosphere was nice and maybe this was just the wrong day to visit. I will give it another try down the road. Read more
1st time experience and I love everything New Orleans but I wasn't really all impressed with everything at Ruby Sunshine but... what I was impressed with was the staff EXCEPTIONAL service they provided even with them being short staff, out of certainitems, tarnished silverware. I will try them again for sure based just on their overall customer service. Read more
Very tasty food and large portions for the prices. The reason for 4 stars is some of the food came out warm, not hot, and the... appetizer was forgotten but brought out with the mains when we reminded the server. Overall worth coming back to try other menuitems. Read more
