I had gone to sizzler twice last year and vowed I would never go again because the steaks are very poor quality, but I wanted to... try their Malibu chicken and baked potato and was hoping a steak was good. The chicken and the big potato were fine but thesteak was tough and stringy and tasteless as before. All in all I would say it?s a good place to go if you?re a vegetarian andthought you might like to try some meat to see if it would change your mind. I guarantee you?ll stay a vegetarian. Read more
I had the 6oz steak with a baked potato and the salad bar. Steak was cooked to medium rare as I asked. The gave it proper time... to rest so my plate wasn't covered in juice like some places do in a hurry. The bread is delicious as usual. The salad bar herewas clean and stocked and attended. The dressings didn't have drops of the other dressings in it like you sometimes see andthere wasn't other ingredients dropped into other toppings like some sloppy people do. The soft serve ice cream machine workedand was also clean with the toppings stocked and fresh, not stale, waffle cones. The only thing about this place is that itcould use an update. Wow. Haven't been here in years and it was great. Brought 2 kids and they loved the variety of the salad bar. They weren't... thrilled with the mango lemonade, but loved the strawberry and peach ones. As always, the staff was incredible. Super friendlyand very attentive. It's a little expensive, but the quality of food is great and I think they're trying to step up the style offood they offer. If you haven't been, or it's been a while, I would recommend it. Read more
Man, hadn't had sizzler in years today I was craving it. I even drove around since ramp is closed. Expensive yes, but well... worth it. The meal steak & Grill Shrimp over rice and bake potato was perfect size and taste was normal satisfactory. The saladwas as I expected very good and that bread garlic like was good too. I only drink ice cold water and I carry my own flavoringfor the right amount of sugar and taste. In closing, I recommend you try it again. So I'm not from the city I am from Anaheim so the one I normally go to is one off beach in orangethorp this one I figured would... be a nice one but it was let down. The restaurant itself is pretty big It looks nice inside it's funny when you go to thecashier you see a TV behind them you normally would see the menu from the other sizzlers I've been to but it was interestingjust weird watching a football game behind the register so looking at a menu or something else The food was mediocre at best weasked for medium rare I got well done I have time to just tell them to change it because it takes time rather just eat my food Ihad the steak shrimp and Malibu trio The mustard sauce for My chicken was not really mustardy it was mostly white normally it'slike a yellowish color to it which made me feel like it was something else the baked potato I had tasted ok My wife smell shesaid hers was not that great or not that tasty she had the shrimp skewers with steak as well and her steak was also well doneinstead of medium rare but again and I feel like telling the waiter to bring us another steak and have it to wait an extra 10minutes to eat! Would I go here again most likely not I'll stick to the one in Anaheim or Lake Forest this one and fountainvalley is a pass for sure!
