If you want to eat... light there are salads, and there are also heavier dishes if you're hungrier. The pasta is amazing. The hot chocolate is also very good. The mahi mahi curry is very good. I didn't seem to like much of... sandwiches. Not that they are bad. Quick service makes this place an ideal lunch spot when you only have 30 minutes to spare. I usually come on Thursdays when they... have the mujadara as the special menu item. It's a mix of lentil and chopped veggies whipped up into a delicious batch (you canadd chicken for extra). Try it if you haven't had it before. The salmon salad is also surprisingly good: salmon is cookedtenderly without being under-done. Great weekday place for breakfast or lunch. They cater primarily to the working crowd so they do close early for the day (around... 2:30pm). One of the best things I've had here is the gyros platter. The meat lasagna isn't bad either. They make good hotchocolate, and I particularly like the fresh juice bar where you can customize the stuff that go into your drink. They put thewhole fruit into the processor so you get the fiber as well as the juice. My favorite juice combo lately has been apple, orange,carrot, and ginger; it's a good way to get Vit A since I'm not really fond of eating carrots in meals. I like that they carry apremium selection of snacks and drinks, like kettle-cooked potato chips, European chocolate like Cadbury Flake and Kinder Bueno,and San Pellegrino soda. The prices here are definitely higher than the average lunch place in the Foster City area but they dooffer high quality food. When the weather is good you can even have your meal outside in the patio next to the little officepark. Read more
Take the specials on their menu if you miss homemade/family style meals. This is just what I needed a bit of a homey feeling.... The owner is kind and caring.
