First time at The Flying Carpet Turkish Cafe. Food was very tasty as you combine the salad, rice, gyro meat, and tzatziki sauce... into each bite. Each flavor builds onto the other for a nice balance of flavors. Lentil soup needed a bit of salt but wasotherwise a nice starter. Meal also came with fresh, warm pita bread. We will return and bring a nice bottle of wine since theyare BYOB. Read more

The food was so good I ate way more than I should have. Service was spot-on, beautiful decorations, excellent in all regards. ... They're also BYOB which is nice. This is NOT Chili's, so if you're expecting a $5 steak to be brought to you in two minutes bya server who is forced to treat you like a spoiled princess then you'll be disappointed. But if you like delicious food and canact like an adult, this will be an immediate favorite. Read more

We are just visiting the area and our host told us to try this place out. Immediately walking in, the atmosphere and ambiance... were phenomenal. To start, we ordered the zucchini pancakes and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries as appetizers, and boythey were delicious!!! Entrees were also amazing, so flavorful and unique. I also tried the Turkish soda and was pleasantlysurprised. Would definitely recommend for all to try :) Read more

Phenomenal experience! We happened to be walking by looking for a place to eat and saw this unique historical home converted... into a restaurant. We figured, why not? The interior is an eyeball extravaganza. Rugs, color, patterns, etc. All kinds of funobjects everywhere. The bathroom was one of the coolest and quirkiest bathrooms I've ever been in. I don't think I've ever takena picture of a public restroom before. Haha The staff was so attentive. It's a BYOB service so I ran across the street to theliquor store and got a bottle of wine and came back. They were happy to open it. We took a risk and just guessed as to what toorder and were pleasantly surprised that we had chosen so well. I've actually been to Turkey and the restaurant had a similarvibe and felt very authentic without being over the top or cheesy. The bus boy was busting his chops cleaning and runningaround as they were getting close to closing and we were lagging behind enjoying our wine and conversation. I slipped him a $20and told him to keep up the great work. He was so gracious and even offered to take our picture for us. Overall, this was anextremely pleasant experience. We live down the street from it and we can't wait to return. Read more
