Honestly I didn?t think I would take more than a few bites of my pizza because I figured it would be just like all the other... pizza joints around. NOOOOOOO! I was definitely wrong about that. For one, it?s vegan so no worrying about having a yucky/upsetstomach afterwards. Two, the sauce has a special flavor. And three, the crust has that fire-baked crispiness to it that ties upthe whole bite in a bow! When you first walk into Pizza Verde, you are greeted with the aroma of a fire burning stove. That?sunique, for me anyway, to be able to actually watch the pizza bake in front of you IN THE FIRE and not just an electric oven.Very cool! Also, I love how the heat from the fire keeps the restaurant warmer so it kind of creates a greenhouse effect forthose beautiful plants by the entrance. I thought that was a creative use of space to add natural greenery (I love plants!). Mymargherita pizza smelled incredible and tasted BOMB! Also, the employees were all so kind and I could tell they love what theydo. I read the plaque hanging on their wall which gave more information into why they came up with a vegan pizza joint. So, I recently discovered this amazing all vegan pizzeria.. Wooooozers! So, I love Pizza Verde so much that the hubbs and I... have literally visited them more than a handful of times within a months period. So, the first time we visited Pizza Verde, wetried the Fried mozzarella appetizer, the verde pizza, and the salted caramel dessert. The mozzarella sticks were.. let's justsay I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT WASN'T COWS MILK CHEESE. Like, woow. The mozzarella still were so crispy and cheesy. They tastedlike they were battered in a tasty Italian like breadcrumb. They were fried TO PERFECTION, and we're extraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cheesy.Did I mention that they were so creamy and cheesy. The mozzarella sticks had a creamy, thick, and ooey gooey. It don't even likecheese that much but I freaking loved em. As for the verde pizza, oooooweee. The dough on the pizza was light, airy, but witha fluffy and crispy crust. The edges on the pizza were jussssst right...crispy. Overall, the pizza....IS A FULL FLAVORED PIZZA.Don't sleep on it...wowzers...it wasn't too thick, not too chewy...it was justttt right. Now, as for the Salted Carameldessert. Let me start by saying I hate Salted Caramel. However, I LOVE THEIR SALTED CARAMEL DESSERT....ITS EVERYTHING!!!This dessert is soft, melts right in your mouth. The salted caramel dessert had hazelnuts sprinkled around them, and was toppedwith a Tufi cookie...MY GOODNESS! I forgot to mention, the owners here are adorable and sweet. Great customer service and nice ambiance. I enjoyed the fried mozzarella which was a solid portion for two or a light meal. The... plant based mozzarella was flavorful and a good texture. The breading was crispy and fried just right. I ordered the Feo to gowith a side of lime crema. Highly recommend. The pizza dough and cheez are very satisfying to be plant based. Went for dine-in the other night. Great cozy little place. I ordered the house salad and the Verde pie. They had a lot of to-go... orders but I still received my pizza in a timely manner. The house salad is super refreshing and light. I could literally eatthat everyday. The Verde pie was so good! The plant based chorizo is some of the best I?ve had around town and if you?re acilantro lover then that?s the pie to order. Clean place. Clean bathroom. Great service and a friendly staff. Read more
This place is awesome all around! Best vegan food I have had at a restaurant! Friendly staff that made us feel very welcomed and... the food was absolutely delicious! Like I can't stop thinking about this pizza y'all! If I lived closer I would for sure be inthere ALL the time! My husband and I had the new jalapeno popper pizza, which was awesome as I said.
