Have been eating Italian Beef and Chicago style pizza most of my adult life. Anytime I am in Chicago I hit Portilllos for hot... dogs and Italian beefs.. My wife and I went by this place tonight. We decided to stop when we saw the Italian Beef sign. We eachordered a juicy Italian beef and an order of onion rings Was the worst we ever had. The beef was dry almost rubbery. The breaduse was French and soak so much we could not pick it up to eat. I ate most of mine cause I was starved and my wife had a fewbites from hers We got home and both of us do not feel good Hope we did not get food poisoning. Great NY style pizza! Ordered a medium cheese/pepperoni thin crust and asked of they could leave it in for a few more to give... the crust more crisp/char and the owner(?) had no problem accommodating my request. The food here is great. Great to have a little piece of home(Chicago) so close to where I live. Staff is great and customer... service as well. I had placed an order through a 3rd party app and an item was missing. They made it quickly and personallydelivered it to my house. Talk about great service. We wanted some new York style pizza, so we looked online for this. We were only about 5 miles away, so we come here. We've eaten... some good pizza in our time, but this one was-in our opinion- better than ANY place we've been, including Uno's! We walked inand all of the staff including the owner treated us like they had known us forever. We got samples of their Chicago style pizzawhich was the most awesome ever! We ate it before I had a chance to take a picture so come and try one yourself! It's not superthick like the Chicago style that you believe it might be however it is one-of-a-kind and cannot be beat! it is also a bar andthey have a menu including sandwiches and hot dogs and all different types of food. Some pretty solid NY pizza in Dallas. A bit too much oregano in the sauce and the dough needs to be thicker. But nonetheless... this place is awesome. Read more
