I purchased three meals two whole fish and one chicken combos. I asked for a two oz tater sauce instead of the small less than... teaspoon portions they have already set aside. Instead of taking a few seconds to go to the back and fill the 2 oz container upthe small, hispanic, evil and hateful manager open up the small container and squeezed them into the 2 oz container which wasvery unsanitary. She then stated that she refused my service and told the girl at the register to give me my money back whichshe did and then the small, hispanic and evil manager told me to "SHUT UP" and you can imagine where it went from there. Shethen threatened to CALL THE POLICE OVER TARTAR SAUCE. Instead of giving me what I wanted to pay EXTRA FOR they gave me back my$28.65 plus $2.70 for extra tartar sauce. The two sides of broccoli and cheese cost $4 (so it would have made more sense toallow me to purchase $2.50 tartar sauce) and the chicken and two whole fish I gave back were put right back into the lineup. Sosad to have to go through all of that for tartar sauce. Oh I almost forgot, the black man who was the other manager NEVERLOOKED UP DURING THE ENTIRE SITUATION instead he was managing his books for the day. They have really improved on food quality over this last year. I actually don't mind going now.
This was the absolute worst experience. I was excited to come to a Lubys as I haven't been since I was a child. I was quickly... shown why they are going out of business. Poorly trained staff. Out of many options on the line that you had to wait for. Wewere told our waiter would bring our sides to our table. They never did. The cashier didn't know how to operate it correctly. Omg! I haven't had Luby's in years. The food was great, just like I remember. The waitresses were rushing but it was lunch time.... Our cashier was the sweetest tho. Hope they stay open forever! Read more
Haven't been to a Luby's in a long time. Was where I went years ago with my granny after church. Very nostalgic trip down... memory. Seriously a great bunch of kiddos! Hats off to the Manager who did the awesome job of hiring! Read more
We were staying at a hotel across the street from Luby's. We hadn't been to Luby's in several years. We always loved going there... since we were young. I got my favorites which included a chopped steak, Mac and cheese, pinto beans and a dinner roll.Everything was fantastic including the service. The iced tea was fresh and tasted great I miss the butternut brownie pie andOreo cheesecake. They were absolutely terrific back in the day before covid. I would have given Luby's 5 stars of they stillsdethose desserts. Read more
Food is ok .I think the prices should be lowered. $20. A meal alot of people can't afford that. Maybe have seniors prices all... day not after they go to bed.. Read more
Went to Luby?s on Thanksgiving and although we waited in line for over an hour before reaching the service line to select our... meals, the experience was great! So thankful to have ask the workers share their lives to serve us on thanksgiving day! Read more
