I?m in town for a month with work. I?m tired of eating out and no place sounds good. I stopped in here and was pleasantly... surprised. Food was really good and the people here are super nice. I came in the store and order 1lb of rib tips and 1lb of sausage. I didn't check until I came home and found out in the receipt... that they sold to me "brisket" instead of "rib tips". I don't think that honest mistake because I said it clearly and no othercustomers at the counter at the time. I think they did it on purpose to sell the meat with higher price and maybe they have bigamount of brisket at that time and want to sell. But I want the rib tips. That's greed and dishonest. I remember when I paid, itasked for the tip on the screen, I tipped them 15% for "good" service. It turned out their service don't deserve the "good"rate. I've been here 3x so for far. The first two times everything was on point and amazing. The staff was friendly and personable,... but they do need to hire extra help on Saturdays to help with busing the tables.The last time I went in the food was a bit dry,but I won't hold that against them. It's hard being excellent all the time. The first two times the food was full of flavor. Imfrom south Fort Worth and I know good bbq. Rudy's and Shady Oak are tasteless, this place is good. I used to order from here all the time but never again! I ordered a three meat platter and the only thing that was edible were... the sides. The meat that I received was stale, crusty and dry. When I have ordered BBQ in the past from other places the meat isvisibly juicy and you can tell it's fresh...not here...crusty, dry, stale scraps was what I received. Very disappointed. Read more

In the area for business and my client said this place is a must go. The food was average and nothing amazing, but want to... share the dirty utensils and dishes that are provided for the customers to use. It's a self service location and you will getyour own drinks, side dishes and utensils after paying for the food. They need a new dishwasher or hire someone who can do abetter job on washing the dishes. After seeing the dirty forks and bowls, I lost my appetite and didn't get to enjoy my foodmuch. Read more

Surprisingly, it?s one of the best places I ate a brisket. Sides are mouth watering, the pie is soooo good, portions are more... than enough, and the price is unbelievable! I thought it will be a one time kinda thing, but we loved it, I definitely am goingback, and I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to get a decent real Texas style brisket! Staff was very friendly andhelpful, the bread buns are fresh and incredibly shockingly good. The chopped beef plate is excellent. The meat has a delicious smoke flavor....so good that I really hesitated to add any BBQ... sauce. The crisp coleslaw was ice cold and super crisp--just the way I like it. And the broccoli cheese casserole was so darnedtasty and cheesy that it disappeared rather quickly...and the broccoli wasn't overcooked. They even have a condiment bar so youcan load up on all the pickles, peppers, onions, and relish. Be forewarned that they do have a self-service beverage stationwith sodas, tea and lemonade.
