We came here for my husband's birthday. I'll admit that at first I was a little iffy about it since it's an old Denny's building... and the prices seemed a bit high, but the food was good and the portions massive. We ended up taking enough leftovers home forat least a couple of meals. The staff were great and extremely helpful. Read more

Very good German food for the money. The establishment is no-frills, but the food speaks for itself! Service was prompt and... friendly. The menu had a good collection of German classic dishes, and both the Jägerschnitzel and München sausages dishes wegot were very good and generously portioned. Also enjoyed the Potato pancakes. If you're looking for good value for moneyGerman food, be sure to check this place out. Read more

My wife and I were so excited to eat here after I conveyed some reviews to her. I called ahead, to make sure they were open and... if we needed a reservation. I was greeted on the phone by a very sweet young sounding lady. Found the place easily and it didlook like an old Denny's restaurant, which others had stated. Interior was not German, except for a few German flags. Beer wasspot on. Cold, right amount of head and appeared fresh. The bread was similar... Cold, but seemed rather stale and even thebread that I would have thought was pumpernickel, was almost completely flavorless. We had the potato pancake appetizer. Two ofwhat I believe we're six pieces seemed okay-ish. Still a bit greasy, but has some decent flavor. Applesauce and sour creamwere both good. The other 4 pancakes were greasy and just didn't taste good. Overall 3 out of 10. The good ones were maybe a 6. We ordered the Jägerschnitzel and sausage entrees. Jägerschnitzel is what I use to set a standard for a German restaurant. The batter used to make the Jägerschnitzel was crispy, but wasn't really a good texture, the coating itself didn't taste goodand seemed a mismatch flavoring from the meat inside. The meat was thin, which was ok, but it seemed like a small portion, which actually worked out. The Jäger sauce was not sauce, but more like gelatin and had some mushrooms in it. It was notgood. We didn't even finish it. That has never happened and we have had many. Jägerschnitzel did not score. 0 out of 10. Thesausage platter next. The sausages were actually ok. 8 out of 10. The mustard very tasty. And now for the sides. The redcabbage seemed overcooked and perhaps out of a can. (My wife says it was similar to canned peas. Squishy). The flavoring couldhave been a 7 out of 10, but with the consistency, it did not score. The sauerkraut was about the same consistency as the redcabbage but had also some ok flavoring. Overall about a 4 out of 10. The potato salad was cold, wit Read more

Plenty of German beer and sausage started the extravaganza. The schweinshaxe is tradition German beer hall food and was done... well. The skin was crispy and the meat tender. The serving was over 4 lbs! The schnitzel seemed to get more delicious thelonger the flavor lingered on the pallet. Well done!! Read more

The atmosphere threw me off - it?s in an old Denny?s. But once you eat the food, you won?t care. I would eat this food even if... it was being sold out of the back of an El Camino. I grew up eating at Edelweiss, but after eating here tonight I?m disappointedat all the times I could have been eating here. The red cabbage was fresh and crisp, the German potato salad had lovely lumps ofsoft potatoes, and the beer was dark and delicious. (If you like coffee, I recommend the Warsteiner Dunkel). Don?t bother withappetizers, the portions are huge. Also, ask for Julie. She made our night. If she recommended it, we ate/drank it and it wasamazing. The place is clean, the service is friendly and fast, but go for the food. Read more

My husband and I went here for dinner. I can't believe we didn't know about this place. Almost missed it because it blends into... a large strip mall. The decor was (meh) but everything was clean. The staff were delightful - friendly and attentive withouthovering. Our waitress was spot on; food came out exactly as ordered and she made great suggestions. But the food...sodelicious and such generous portions, i couldn't finish it all. Grabbed a slice of black forest cake to go and it was sinfullygood. Worth the extra file miles on the treadmill. Definitely coming back. The food and service ranked 5 stars all the way! Read more
