OMG!!! So, this little spot has me shook! Cajun Seafood spot offering some authentic Cajun fare. Upon walking in, the pull up... a chair and have a seat eatery reminds me of an Ole School sports bar. Baseball on every screen, bar full of beer sippingpartons, shuffle board and darts posed and ready. They were a little short hand as most places are these days, so we settled inand waited for the bartender/waitress. She was friendly and well informed on what was available, and honestly was balancing thedouble tasks very well. We order the Sweep da Swamp to share and BOY did we share it! They were out of some of the items thatcame standard on the platter, but it did NOT disappoint. Flaky and juicy(yes juicy) Catfish filets fried perfectly, and seasonedwith a spice blend that was both a little spicy and sweet. It really bloomed the flavor of the fish. Natchitoches Meat Piesstuffed with sauteed onions, beef and ground pork, all swaddled in a flaky hand pie that was incredible! Smoked Boudin, OnionRings, French Fries, and the Jalapeno Hushpuppies? Even for an understaffed and busy day, we were happy with the ladies that served us and the food. We just moved from New Orleans... less than a year ago and this place is HEAVEN! there is also another restaurant attached (the inside part) with other foodoptions(if you can?t handle the spice or do seafood) and plenty of beer. My first time eating from this place. I saw their sign for crawfish. I decided to order 2 pounds of crawfish at $8.00 per pound.... The crawfish was bland. They didn?t taste like anything. The corn was hard with no taste as well. I even dipped it in the meltedbutter that they provided and corn was still horrible. I will not try this place again. Read more

The boiled shrimp were huge and the boudin was top notch, better than I've had since moving from Beaumont. My son had the... catfish and shrimp and it was delicious. They moved from Lola's Trailer Park so there's a lot more room. If you're itchin' forcajun I'd highly recommend them. Read more
