I want to send the highest of fives to the crew at the Fort Wayne Mission BBQ. Last week we were in Fort Wayne we stopped for... some of this delicious BBQ. We got our food to go and drove home, which is an hour away. When we got home, I noticed a few itemswere missing from my order. It was about 8:30pm and they were closing at 9. I made a quick phone call and explained thesituation to the young man on the phone. I let him know that I'd be back in FT Wayne the following week and would like to knowif I could get my missing items. He stated no problem. I called before arriving tonight, just to give a heads up that I'd be onmy way. Got there about an hour after the phone call. The gentleman that helped me didn't ask for anything. He just asked whatitems were missing. Easy and painless. I want to thank him and everyone there! He really went above and beyond to make itright. He has secured a customer and our business. Always great! Get the moist brisket sandwich with 2 sides. Takeout is easy by ordering online and picking it up. They sometimes... have it ready quick, but they can get busy sometimes. First time visit to Mission BBQ. As a culinarian (although I no longer work in the industry) I have to say that this was the... BEST meal I have had in decades! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I had the NorthCarolina style Pulled Pork sandwich. The pork was so tender, full of flavor, and JUICY! But no so juicy that the brioche bungets soggy. The fries were great, truly hand cut and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of salt. The Mac n Cheesewas definitely the best restaurant Mac n Cheese I've ever had as well. All in all, I will be making the hour+ drive on a regularbasis to continue to support a great company with great food and great employees! Read more
I?m a huge fan of Mission BBQ. But this visit is a little surprising. Two things: 1. I always get a full rack of ribs. Half for... now and the other half for later. I requested if they?d put one of the half?s in a box and the other half on the tray. The galwanted to charge me for two half slabs. I let her know I?ll handle it myself. Got my own box and put half in it. 2. Not realbusy as it?s just before 4:00pm on a Sunday. Trash overflowing and toilet paper in the men?s room almost empty. I?ve been tonumerous Mission BBQs throughout the country - FL, PA, MI and IN. I recommend them to EVERYONE! Today must not have been a goodday for this staff. Read more
