Reviews for Aladdin Food Express (Halal) in Fort Wayne, IN
This place is delicious! The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala specifically, but everyone in our large group loved what... they got the first time we went. I went again today with my daughter and again enjoyed everything along with a mango lassi. Theowner is friendly and helpful. Can't believe how quiet the place is for how good the food is!! Read more
We ate there last night for the first time. The food was wonderful, and the staff were great. I would recommend it to anyone... that appreciates good curry and butter chicken. Read more

Restaurant Review I came to this place on a whim given a post of social media during the pandemic. We were craving something... with more flavoring than salt and pepper. There are not many Indiana or middle eastern restaurants in Fort Wayne so it was nicebeing introduced to a new one. It is located in the south part of town. The actual restaurant is quite large, but I am not sureif it was open for dine-in seating. We had called ahead with our order and it was being prepared fresh. There is a carryoutwindow right as you enter in so it was easy to keep a distance from other people, however it seemed slow as there was only oneother customer there. We had tried to order shrimp biryani, but they were out, so we settled on chicken biryani and chickentikka masala. The food itself was fresh and hot, however, I feel that the spices were a little off from your traditional Indianrestaurant. It could be due to the asian/burmese influence on the food as I noticed they had a few Asian dishes as well whichyou don't typically see. The biryani was a healthy portion enough for 2 meals. There was large piece of dark meat chicken. Theone thing that seemed to be missing was the saffron taste and spiciness you would often get with a biryani. It also only camewith the white sauce and not the yellow sauce. The chicken tikka masala was very creamy, but once again something was differentthan the typical spice you get at an Indian restaurant. We did get some extra plain naan (interestingly, the price for specialtynaan is exactly the same so I should have tried something else), but it was rather dry and didn't have the fluffiness youtypically get with naan. Overall it was an OK meal, but for people that don't like super spicy or strong aromatics, this wouldbe perfect for you. Read more
The food is great. Everything is made fresh when ordered. The food is served hot and fresh. The staff always takes the time... to answer any questions about the menu choices. I did not feel like I had to rush my questions or rush to order. The diningroom is clean and well lit with great art work hanging on the walls. If I were to name a down side it would be they servehamburgers, hotdogs and french fries but no onion rings. I would love to see onion rings added to the menu. All and all thisrestaurant is a breath of fresh air for this side of town. I hope people support this restaurant and help it grow. It wouldbe great to see such strong support that in a year or so down the road, they add a lunch buffet. I know I will be back, thereis so much on the menu that I would like to try. Read more
Biryani, Fried chicken are pretty good. Burger was okay and expansive. Pizza is worst. Almost 10 dollars and 9 dollars but... barely any chicken or meat on it. Not sure how much they can save by not putting enough protein. I am regular customer so itslike every time. Tried explaining to owner but she argued that this is how it is supposed to be. Sadly no other Halal foodchoice yet. Read more
