Nice simple menu, laid back atmosphere. Beautiful view. Service was very good. Food was ok. He had shrimp and grits,... presentation was not a thing?. And I had Southern Benedict. We will definitely go try other dishes. Read more

Great View, Great Beer, Great People. Had a Shrimp Cocktail - it was a bit spicy but still good. Beer good and cold.

It was a very horrible experience. I had family coming in from out of town and I had recommended going to AJ?s on the Bayou,... since my previous experiences had all been good. My Spanish speaking son-in-law asked for a large table for 10 adults and 2small children. We were told it would take about 20 minutes to prepare the table. I think we waited almost 30 minutes. We gotseated outside, in the very back corner of the restaurant. Yes, it had a picturesque view of the sun setting over the bayou butafterwards, we were stuck in the dark. The street lamp did NOT offer good lighting and there were NO ceiling lights. The foodtook over an hour and a half to get to us. The hush puppies were burnt. My steak was cold and looked like a hockey puck but thebaked potato was hot. My wife?s Cajun Pasta tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for the whole hour and a half wehad been waiting for the food. The waiter said he was making the strawberry/lemonade tea especially for my other son-in-law andthe rest of the family that ordered it; and my son-in-law said it tasted delicious but after he drank it, it took like 20-30minutes before the waiter came back to see if he wanted a refill or even to check on our drinks. My wife?s two cokes came outflat but no one ever bothered to ask. And there were other major discrepancies. Erin, I believe that was her name. She came outand said she was the manager or something like that; she listened to my complaint and gave me a 25% discount on the meal; didn?tcharge me for the hush puppies, my plate or my wife?s plate or all the drinks and she gave us four coupons for future use, butthe family no longer trusts my recommendations for local restaurants so I definitely do NOT recommend this one to anyoneespecially those who speak a different language. Very good service. We had the Peel and Eat Shrimp with the Wedge Salad and fresh dinner salad. The salads had generous portions... and were delicious! The shrimp was a bit too salty and on the spicy side. Read more

Ordered shrimp and grits and it was delicious but a little bit spicy. I asked if I can have the grits without the bacon but... apparently they make it up front and didn?t want to make a small portion from scratch. The calamari was delicious as anappetizer. The service could?ve been better since we were the only ones in the restaurant. Read more

We enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. We walked right in and was seated, no wait. We sat inside & had a Beautiful view... of the water. Our waitresses was nit the best. Idk if she had to many tables or what but our drink were only refiled once andthat was after we had finished eating. His cup was empty before he got his plate so I ended up giving him my drink and he drankmine also before she ever came back. Read more
