I was in Fort Smith for the weekend for an interview at ARCOM and came across Sakuu?s booth at the Barracks farmer?s market. The... owner is super friendly, and I wanted to support the local Asian owned business. I highly recommend the pandan bread (left). Thenatural green coloring looks intimidating, but it is moist, delicious, and tastes like vanilla. On the right is spam musubi, which I forgot to take a picture of unwrapped. The spam musubi is spam on top of white sushi rice with a kind of spicy teriyakisauce slathered in the middle. Because spam is a salty deli meat, the rice to spam ratio was perfect, so that the saltiness ofthe spam and teriyaki sauce was perfect. If I were to ever visit Fort Smith again, I would definitely come to Sakuu again! Read more
By far one of my favorite r?Asian bakery?s I?ve been to in fort smith. I had Tommy and Gena (sorry if I spelled your name... wrong!) making my food. They were really cool and easy to talk too! The bahn mi sandwiches were freaking amazing! I didn?t eatthe Lao style papaya salad (I don?t eat spicy) but everyone else loved it! Thank you both so much! Highly recommend this Asianbakery! Note to the owner: these two need a promotion!! Read more

It'll be a long one: Todays date is November 17th, 2022. I went in around 3:30PM to order a boba tea and grab what I was mainly... excited for, the green honeycomb bread. The brown sugar boba tea was satisfying and a good recommendation from the lady whoserviced me. Ten minutes later I open the packaged honeycomb bread. I was going to chomp into a piece, all the while lookinginto the honeycomb bread package and I noticed some spots of mold on the piece of bread that was sitting in the package & wassurprised. I took it back. The lady who helped me told me I could pick something else out from the shelf of deli baked goods. Iget to be distrustful if first impressions don't go the best, so I decided to get something cold that may have less possibilityto mold, the coconut jello (jello was super yummy). I would suggest this deli cafe to date when the food expires or the day itwas packaged to prevent this gross mistake. Possibly look into food code regulations for food related information to have moreawareness. I'm staying away from the baked goods next time, but I'll go back and try something else prob. The service I got wasmediocre, she went to take the honeycomb bread off the shelf after I told her about the mold. It would've been nice if shenoticed the price difference of products and mentioned I could grab items that were equal to or less price than the honeycombbread. I hope if they read this, they don't think I'm mad. I never have opened something and have found mold so this is my firstexperience with that and this post is a cautionary statement. Give this place a shot and see what you think. Read more
