Reviews for La Huerta Mexican Restaurant in Fort Smith, AK

We ordered from the lunch menu during the specified lunch hours, but were charged an "upcharge" because it was the weekend, but... they didn't inform us that there was a difference in prices until we questioned the bill. They also charged for a cheese saucewhen the order came with cheese sauce or enchilada sauce, and the cheese sauce was chosen. It was not listed on the menu thatthere would be a price difference. So, my 6.95 lunch ended up costing $12! Further, they did not refill drinks or chips, noteven checking back to see if we needed anything. We finally asked the waiter for a drink refill and chips. He was quite busywatching the soccer game, not waiting on customers. These people were financially deceptive, and in my opinion unethical, andthen delivered terrible service. While the meal itself was fine, the service was horrible and the prices wrong. Lunch was $28dollars instead of $17. I will never go back and do not recommend this restaurant. Sad choice! Read more

We go every Sunday night. The owner and his staff are great. We always go because Fernando always takes great care of us. My... kids love Fernando because he is so friendly and he knows what we want when we come in the door. The food is always great andjust what we order. Also as a plumber and seeing the kitchen myself it is always great to see a kitchen so clean. Read more

First time at this location. Very nice atmosphere and comfortable. The staff didn't seem to communicate with each other. Took... awhile to get something to drink, and didn't get chips and salsa (got guacamole without chips go figure)until just before ourfood was served. I only gave 3 stars because the food was very good. The carnintas plate was great ????. I recommend if youhave lots of time, as they were slow.btw the margaritas are fantastic, my wife loves them. Fairly decent experience. Good staff manors and the restaurant was very clean. My food was delivered at a reasonable time and... the price was also Fair. Decent food for a decent price and presentation was acceptable as well. However, consistant accross thechain, their food has always not "popped" in the flavor category. I'd classify the La Huerta chain as generic decent food for anaverage food experience. Read more
