So the atmosphere is absolutely incredible! The building was built in 1848 as Fort Smith's first brewery to supply the 27 local... saloons! It is a beautiful Stone structure that is part of the national historic registry. So definitely five stars foratmosphere. Our server was incredible, well informed and attendant without being invasive. Definitely five stars. Surprisinglyit was the food that cost it a star. If you want to eat just a steak definitely eat here. The steak was worthy of five stars! Alittle pricey but delicious. What wasn't worth five stars was the sides and salad. The salad was pretty much just lettuce it'sonly redeeming quality was the homemade dressing. Dear God do not order the green beans! They taste like someone poured them outof a can. The biscuits, though they tasted good were deep fried bread. Not a lot of healthy options for sure. Read more

We went here for our anniversary. For us it is expensive, $50 for the smallest sized steaks but the smallest size was absolutely... huge. My husband and I really liked the food. It was nice for a special meal. The French fries were really salty but that didn'tstop me from eating. Place could use an update and better cleaning but the meat was so good that I would recommend it to anyone, especially someone wanting to experience the vid american meal. Read more

We dined here yesterday (July 2022), and I will start with the good bits first, because it was not all bad. First, the steak was... good, good flavor, that right there gets 5 stars, but it surely goes downhill really quick after that. (Some people state herethat steaks were bland), I have worked in restaurants before and I thought the Fillet was actually pretty good, overpriced butgood. It is a cool looking building (inside) in a huge need for updates. We had a party of 5 and we were seated in the cornerbelow the stairs, it was hot, so bothering hot. That area gets no AC and server said they were getting a new AC system. I surehope so. We were there for a double birthday and we decided we were just going to take the cake we brought home with Us as wewere all sweating in there. It was bad bad. Now on to the rest of the food, tables, plates, etc. I don't really know if thisplace is going for an "upscale" look, but what they use to serve food is definitely not. First, paper napkins, I know that isnot a big deal, but come on. The plates they serve your food in, are plastic and like from Golden Corral. Someone here hasalready mentioned the Salad and the bowls used, yeah, I know people don't come here for the salad, that is well understood, butcome on! those little bowls (very cheap too) and the out-of-the-bag iceberg lettuce they served as a salad ? plus those saladswere WARM, not good at all. One person in our party asked about the green beans, he was told they were "southern style" withbacon, etc. Those green beans were steamed or boiled at best super bland (pics below) and very disappointing. The potatoes theyserve as side were not very good either, not well seasoned and just plain bland. As you can see on the pics, the tables are oldand bad, NO Table cloths (???), then the glasses for drinks were all plastic and kind of beat up. Maybe it is just me, but ifyou are going to pay anywhere from $40 to $80 for steak, please up your game with the dinnerware. O Read more

For my 1st "Xperience" here for a friend's birthday was very nice&tasty... yet I thought along with the rest of my entire party... that for the high prices & upscale atmosphere that the salads were extremely small, mostly iceberg lettuce & served in brown,plastic-like bowls that are used at mom&pop restaurants, etc. (NO pun intended, making an obvious point!!!) I ordered the shrimpdinner which really good&the resiling wine was a delicious start& finish, the staff was superb & continually friendly, informative &very kind...the entire food menu is extremely short, which was shocking to me(cause I'll only eat the salmon orshrimp off menu) but the drink menu looks a Buffett OMGudness I never got through reading all the options Read more

This place is all about massive and delicious steaks, and they do not disappoint! We got the ribeye (they ribeye from the menu... easily serves 2 and comes with a choice of 2 sides), and this was one of the best steaks I?ve ever had. Their home style frieswere also top-notch. If you?ve got a craving for steak, look no further. Read more

Well, if you don?t go try it, it should be on your bucket list. The steak is awesome, all the fixings are awesome, the... folks/staff is great, helpful and friendly. This would be my second time at Doe?s, the first was for our wedding dinner acouple of years ago, the second was a few days ago, and both occasions were excellent food, and money spent. 100%Recommend!!!!!
