I've been stopping by here Thursday night after work or ordering on my weekend off to get some good food without having to cook... it. It's usually 9:30 or so when I leave work and get to get dinner to go. Always looked forward to it at the end of my shift.Good food, good service, never anything wrong with the order or missing. Guess all the above is a thing of the past. My ordertonight was my usual off the three for me menu. Burger and fries, chips and salsa and a coke. Tonight I ordered my usual andreceived the burger, salsa, coke and fries. Hopefully anyone who reads this noticed I left the chips off what I received,because the to go server left it off my order. Ok it's just chips, no biggie. I tossed out the salsa and started on my burger.The burger was good as usual, the fries however was a rather generous serving at first glance. The container was packed with theburger and fries. Sound good? Well it wasn't. About half of the fries were small rather crispy parts that might have been goodhad they not been almost rock hard. It felt like they were about to clean the fryer out for the night when my order popped up,so they just said "good enough for this guy!" And dumped the contents into my box. Summary: good burger, missing chips for mychips and salsa, bad fries. I did as usual leave a seven dollar tip.. had I not already discussed getting chili's to go with mymom for lunch tomorrow I'd be taking a good six month break from this weekly "treat" which I am no longer looking forward totomorrow. Edit: against my better judgement I went back the day after the original review. My mom and I had already plannedthat so I thought i might as well give a second chance now. I got a burger and fries, coke and decided to get chips and quesoinstead of chips and salsa. My mom went with some chippen strips, chips and salsa and diet coke. My mom's meal was alright. It's better than I remember. Good variety on menu. My fiesta chicken served over rice & black beans was good, burgers & fries... were large plate fulls. The ribs were juicy & tender with large ear of corn. We had a good mango margarita! Read more
First off, my husband and I have always loved chili's. It was our go to place. The last few times we have been there, it hasn't... been good. The staff was nice and friendly, but the food has went down hill. Tonight my husband got ribs, and they were actuallygood this time. The problem was the corn in the cob, it was just sad. When he first pointed it out to me, I thought had beensoaking in water too long. But no, it was dried out and hard. I would not have served it to anyone. I got the chickenquesadilla's, and they were way over cooked. The sour cream that comes with it was hot and runny. I hate to talk bad about theplace, would like to know what happened. Huge portions. 4 people ate on the orders for 2 people. Inexpensive prices for restaurants nowadays. Great, attentive service.... No long waits for service and getting food. Food was timely brought to table. Time allowed to eat appetizer before meals werebrought to table. 4 go boxes were provided and a chip bag. Then a bag to put it all in.
