Reviews for Blue Ember Smokehouse in Fort Smith, AK
Some of the best bbq I've had ever. I'm from Texas and this is as good and even better than some places in Texas. Brisket was... moist and fork tender. The burnt ends were also tender and smoked perfectly. Mac and cheese was like going to your momma's housefor the homemade dish. The employees were great and cordial. Will definitely drive out of my way to eat here when going toArkansas. Read more
The parking lot was full, but decided the wait would be worth it. The cafeteria style line moved quickly and I was seated at a... table in under 5 minutes. I ordered the Special Ops sandwich as a platter. I recommend the Spicy apple bbq sauce and theoriginal as well. Read more

High quality bbq place with some killer sides. The potato salad is some of the best you will find anywhere. The beans are good... and the fried okra had a great crispy breading. The ribs were super tender and had great flavor. The burnt ends were a littledifferent from the norm. They offered a sample since they weren?t the normal brisket burnt ends. I really enjoyed the flavor andthe crispy bits. They have 3 sauces and the spicy sauce was very tasty. The mix on the coke machine is dialed in and the sweettea was great. I really like that they cut everting in front of you so you really know what you are getting. You can?t go wrongwith this place. There?s also plenty of seating! Read more
It?s a nice looking bbq joint. I got the Special Operations plate. It had various meats for one to try. The brisket was... flavorful but dry. The one rib i had was moist but was not a fan of the seasoning. It was overly seasoned that overpowered themeat. The pulled pork looked appetizing but it was next to the best thing. The sausage was good and almost as good as the pullpork. The beans were great and Smokey. I loved the charred bits in the beans. *The meats were not the stars of the show like itshould have. The cole slaw was solid. French fries were nothing special. On the other hand the ice cream was the highlight ofthe meal FYI. When you enter you order on the left. And you order from the guys behind the digital scales. Read more
We went for lunch. The service was quick. I had the 1/2 pound pull pork sandwich. The meat was juicy and tender. The fried okra... was good and the backed potatoes salad was delicious! The Coleslaw was a bit sweet for my taste. They were out of root beer so Ihad to settle for something else. I don't like settling on something else. The place was really clean. I will go back. For themost part it was an enjoyable lunch. Read more
We had really high expectations before eating here after reading several reviews, but weren?t impressed at all. We?ve traveled... all over the Country and consider ourselves ?foodies?. Nice place? looks cool inside & out, but in terms of the food- there?s noway it would even make it on our top 10 list of mouthwatering barbecue we?ve had. Read more
Our group basically tried every meat: ribs, brisket, burnt ends, sausage and chicken and nearly every side and it was ALL... amazing. They also have a cute soft serve ice cream bar. We came early and didn't have a wait but definitely got busy at primetime. I am from out of town and would come back for this place, outstanding BBQ. Read more
