I forgot to take a photo, but this was one of the best omelettes I've ever had in the whole country, let alone in just Ft Myers.... Let's talk about it. If you look through photos on Google Maps of omelettes, you'll notice that most places cook them too hot,too fast. When eggs are cooked too quickly, they will get a brown coating on the outside. I'll eat an omelette that is a littlebrown, honestly it doesn't bother me that much, but when you can find a place that does it right, the eggs are a lot softer andit really adds to the deliciousness of the omelette. I went here because all of the photos looked perfect. No brown; the eggslooked amazing. My hopes were confirmed when my omelette arrived: super soft and fluffy eggs full of great ingredients. Myfavorite omelette filling is Bacon, Spinach, Tomato, and Swiss. Sunflower's version of that omelette will probably be the bestone you'll ever have. Absolutely pretty little diner (not too little, seats quite a few but has a cozy small town feel). We ate breakfast on a number... of occasions here while vacationing in the area. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is extraordinarily prompt andwe?ve never had to wait to be seated. Try the eggs benedict, served with a lemony fresh hollandaise, soft toasted English muffinwith thick sliced country ham. The hash browns were additionally delightful and the whole meal served with a fluffy pancake leftus wanting to come back later to see what the lunch menu had in store. My husband had the breakfast special with eggs, biscuitsand gravy. He chose the thick sliced country ham to accompany. Everything was incredibly amazing. Wow -- this was a GREAT breakfast...the kind I was really looking forward to having. To me, biscuits and gravy as a breakfast... just can't be topped...but that was just part of what I had today. My breakfast consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, 3 straps of (crispy but not blackened ) bacon, hash browns and an open-faced biscuit which was literally swimming in gravy ( which is EXACTLYthe way I would have made it myself ! ???? ). Suffice it to say that I was in seventh Heaven...this breakfast was the best oneI've had all week that we've been in the Ft. Myers Beach area. Our waitress, Sandy, was very pleasant, engaging and checked onus often ( though not so often as to be a nuisance ). If we were staying her longer, I would *DEFINITELY* want to eat breakfasthere again. Highly recommended ! Read more
Wow! This is a gem! Our party of four ordered the eggs Benedict with over medium eggs, steak and eggs, tuna sandwich and matzah... ball soup, and a spinach & feta omelette. Everything was awesome. I have to be honest, I would have never ordered a steak from adiner. It was AMAZING. The ribeye was huge, and melted in your mouth. So tender and juicy.
