I usually prefer to make my own meals and am known by my circle to be finicky about where I dine out. I was inspired by the... online menu at South Beach Grille. When I arrived I was greeted by many smiling faces and delighted to finally order an AperolSpritz (I'd been asking elsewhere and for days)! Tyler shared the daily specials and when the snapper arrived at my table I wasimmediately impressed. The fish was prepared to the ideal texture and green beans and kimchi risotto were perfect pairings. Ihad ordered the roasted pear salad (the vinaigrette was fantastic) and therefore could only finish half of my dinner. The mainportions are generous. I am writing this review to save others a trip. The good: apps, soup, salad, drinks, bread and crab legs. The bad: remaining... entrees were terrible, including sides and dessert. The bad meals we had were sirloin, scallops, swordfish with lobster ravioli.None were good. Just don?t bother. Didn?t get pics of the apps which were the only good part of our meals. If you want an upscale meal on Estero Island, visit South Beach Grille. They started us off with 4 varieties of freshly baked... bread and a house vinaigrette salad or soup of the day. C had seafood chowder, I had cauliflower. They were both delicious andfilling. There are daily specials which will not disappoint. We had such a great meal we visited again! Our new friend Bill tookcare of us on both visits. I highly recommend requesting Bill for a great dining experience. Extra touches like the jalapenohoney drizzle on the grouper or the care taken in stuffing the crab ravioli pillows with love make this our new go to on EsteroIsland. Full bar with drink specialties. We tasted rabbithole, eagle rare, old fashioned, Manhattan, next level, Cosmo, andMoscow mule. I could go on and on... OH! Have the homemade key lime tart for dessert! We took ours to go. This restaurant is too awesome for words. I'll try to give it justice. A Super friendly staff. First, the booths benches are so... comfortable. Gretchen was our server and she is Excellent. We enjoyed an Unbelievable meal. Hubby had beef tenderloin tips, Ihad the grilled salmon which was the best salmon I've ever had and I'm old! The dinner rolls were so soft. We almost didn?t go here and we are so glad we did! First thing I will say is make a reservation if you can! We went and the... wait was going to be 45 minutes so we said never mind and left. We went to our car and called another local restaurant and thewait was going to be exactly the same so thankfully the host at South Beach Grille handed us a card and said ?call if you changeyour mind?. So we did and it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I are here on vacation celebrating our 12 year weddinganniversary and we just wanted to go where the wind took us and not make a reservation (in case you?re reading this wonderingwhy we didn?t make a reservation). My husband ordered the oysters to start and I ordered the roasted pear salad. My husband?smain course was the sirloin and shrimp and I had the roasted statler chicken breast. By far, always one of the best meals we have at Fort Myers Beach. From appetizer, soup, salad, and Entrees just what we hoped... for. Fresh and Delicious. It?s only and annual visit for us but always makes the list of places to go. Read more
