We were looking for something different while traveling from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale. Stumbled upon The Tubby Pig and got there... just as it was opening. We were delighted with friendly staff and the food was impressive. Best Gumbo in Florida, and my loveSaundra ate well here. Next time we return to Ft. Myers, we will have to eat here again. Tiny treasure in Ft Myers. Menu was a fun mix of BBQ and Thai. The dishes are well thought out and not standard fare. I had the... Jammie and the fried pickles. The collards were good, but could maybe use a little smokiness. Everything else was so good, itdidn't matter. They brew their own beers following the German beer standard Reinheitsgebot. Came in this afternoon was blown away by the food. First off my fiancé and I love pretzels so we ordered them and omg the... cheese sauce is amazing like bar none. Second, we both had surgery on our stomach so we usually split a meal and we decided tosplit the Baconator Cheese Burger.... wow just wow I absolutely love bacon that has some char on it yum and the flavor of it allwas fantastic. Also with the burger we got the seasoned fries and those were excellent as well. The guy who took our orderchecked on us a few times and updated us on our order (which we greatly appreciate) also we very accommodating when we asked forthings. I wish I was more daring to try the beer but I'm more of a wine drinker but they did seem appealing to me. Overall mystomach is happy, my fiancé is happy and that is all that matters. Thank you again for everything look forward to visitingagain down the road sometime. I always appreciate small businesses mom/pop owned and will always get my business. At first with the unmistakable sign outside was kinda nonchalantly going to pass by, yet again. But was surprisingly surprised... when we stopped in anyway. Being a few minutes before closing figured we could grab something quick to go. Instead we werewarmly welcomed and was offered to sit and eat even though it was closing time. The ribs were a huge serving size for a halfrack and the Collard Greens were great. Will definitely return to try the pulled pork. Read more
Stopped In tonight and got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious, A very subtle smoked flavor 10/10. I also ordered the... Thai wings and they hit the spot as well. To top that off while I waited they let me sample there house made beers also great.Great service as well, so excited that It?s so close to home. Read more
Incredible BBQ! If you go, you have to try the Baconator sandwich!! They also have great tasting unique craft beers too!
