Had a work dinner at The Standard downtown and Shi our waitress was so welcoming and inviting when I arrived. The vibe is great... and good music playing. The menu has so many tasty items it was so hard to choose just one thing. I will be back for sure as Isaw Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s all day everyday! Place had good reviews for brunch so decided to try it out. Soon as we walked in the bartender asked if we had a reservation and... we didn’t and she said she would see if they had a table for us. We were sat next to the patio door without any menus butthree other tables were sat with menus. We sat for 11 minutes without one server asking us if we’ve been helped but three werein our area and just kept walking about. I asked someone for menus. Server came over and said they don’t normally give outmenus unless we ask for them because they had a QR scanner on drink menu stand at end of table. Told him how would we know thatand that others were sat with menus. The food was okay. They have bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s for $20 & you canswitch between the two. Came for the mimosas and the live entertainment in hopes that the food would also be good but sadly disappointed. Our waitress... did not really provide recommendations even after I couldn't decide on what to get. I ended up getting chicken and waffles andanother waiter came over after we ordered to go over what dishes are more popular and gave a great description of each. Some ofwhich sounded really good but I had already ordered the chicken and waffles; which ordered had no flavor whatsoever. The wafflesjust tasted like uncooked dough, even had my friend who I dined with tried it and she felt they might have forgotten to includesomething in the batter. She liked the chicken and I thought it was just ok. Tasted like that seasoned the breading with a ranchdressing. The vegan sandwich she had was made in house...the meat was a little thin other than that it had good flavor. I came into this restaurant with high hopes but left completely disappointed. The food is genuinely not that great, definitely... not worth the price nor the $11 for a 2 hour parking spot. The cocktails and mimosa were absolutely disgusting. It tasted likeit came store bought and put into a glass and not mixed at the bar. I ordered the Avocado toast and it barely had any avocados.The avocado was spread on very thin onto the bread. The same way you would spread butter on toast. Not to mention the avocadoisn’t fresh. It’s the kind that comes in a tube or container. The French toast wasn’t bad but there was nothing specialabout it either. Everything was okay just not great. There was no WOW factor about the food in no way shape or form. I won’tbe eating here again. RESPONSE TO THE BELOW COMMENT FROM THe OWNER So many other things were mentioned in this review but youonly read what I had to say about the parking. Not everybody wants to parallel park on the street because it’s “free” andit doesn’t mean said free parking is always available. So that’s that. No comments in regards to the drinks being absolutelydisgusting? and the AVOCADO toast barely having any avocado? Literally was spread on the bread like butter.
