My wife and I love to eat at local restaurants, and the Speckled Egg used to be one of our favorites. It was a great little... hole-in-the-wall local restaurant. The Egg offered simple food, reasonable portions, and good prices, coupled with an outgoing,friendly, and knowledgeable staff. We loved it and were regular breakfast patrons for years. Times change, and so has theEgg... for the worse. Now, the food is adequate at best, the prices are up, most of the old staff are gone, and the new staff isunder trained at best. After today, we won't be back and suggest If you're looking for good food, knowledgable service, andvalue, look someplace else. Read more

If you want the feeling of a neighborhood place that is friendly and welcoming, you have come to the right place. Serving... breakfast and lunch and open until 2:00 p.m. they have a wide variety of delicious food. This place was walk up and order. The cashier was friendly but Martha, preparing the food, was not friendly! Many things on the... menu were not available. The menu needs updated and their main staff needs to go to customer service training! Save yourself andgo to First Watch!!!! Read more

We hit the Speckled Egg almost every Saturday morning. There's never a long line or lack of seating. I love an Asiago cheese... bagel with plenty of cream cheese and an iced latte. The help is pleasant. The restrooms are clean. It's an older place butoverall clean and well kept. Read more
